Chapter 2: First Game

[Wake up! You have a fun day ahead of you!]

Leon was able to hear Black's annoying voice in his sleep. The guy was in their minds too? Well, fuck him.

He grumpily got up from the small bed and stretched himself. Leon then remembered his situation. He had to survive.

Even though it has only been a day, those words have now been ingrained into his very soul.

He brushed his teeth and washed his face ready to get out.

Leon's door opened automatically and he walked out leisurely. At a glance, he couldn't find guards. Despite this, he didn't want to go out of line, he had a wild guess of what might happen.

He silently cursed then asked himself, "Where is the area of meeting?"

[Take a...]

'So this is like an AI, I don't think a normal human would be able to respond to a hundred humans simultaneously. The real question is where is the AI's limit?' Leon was lost in thought as he walked through the white-blue corridors.

'Sigh, I have no idea what my trait is. It's a real bummer, either way, I must still remain wary... other people's traits are still unknown.'

Leon absent-mindedly walked into the designated room. It was just like any other one with the white walls and futuristic design.

To his notice, he saw everyone sitting in a cafeteria like room. Getting the gist of it, he went infront of the line and picked up some food.

"Luckily, no one seems to be giving me problems... weird." Leon said to himself after glancing around the room.

Just in the nick of time before he looked away, he saw a man standing up. The man was also in the white jumpsuit meaning he was also a player. (White jumpsuits= Player)

He walked over to the frail person a few benches away and said in an intimidating voice.

"Hand it over if you don't want a beating." Anyone could tell he was a regular scumbag in and out. "The same goes for all of you."

He smirked and pounced his palm into the food. He took a handful of it and stuffed it into his mouth like a freaking idiot!

Leon was shocked by his brains. For real, you have already scared the person enough! This was sure to leave a mental scar.

The man chomped on the food without bothering to close his mouth.

"Idiot." Leon frowned lightly. He was afraid his survival might be in jeopardy. One wrong move from an idiot an everything was over. Regardless of whether it was intentional.

The place permeated with silence. The only thing heard was the clattering sound from the cutlery and metal trays.

Leon frowned even more. The food was utterly disgusting! It contained all the nutrients needed for the body but it tasted like crap!

After eating all the main food, Leon picked up the small bar shaped food. He unwrapped the grey coating and his eyes turned lifeless in a single second.

"Do they expect us to eat... This?" Leon looked around and saw the same disgusted look on everyone's face. They had to deal with it from now on.

He closed his eyes tightly and took a small bite, yet when it entered his mouth he couldn't taste anything.

'So it doesn't have taste! What a relief.' Leon snacked on the rest of it and got up.

Then he realized he didn't particularly have anywhere to go.

[If you are done, please make your way to the arena!]

Black's voice resounded in everyone's mind. One could sense the excitement in his voice.

[You all have five minutes.]

Leon walked out of the cafeteria and surprisingly someone walked up to him.

It was a girl...

"Uhmm.. Hi." The girl's meek voice rang out in his ears. He could see her at the corner of his eyes.

Her dark hair was short and she wasn't too beautiful nor was she ugly- just average. Just be seeing her fidget with her finger, Leon could tell she was nervous.

"Hello." Leon calmly replied. However inside he was freaking out. The first game was beginning. He didn't know what it was.

For all he knew he can die today... and even the girl beside him.

"I am Mia, and if the game has partnering allowed please let us team up." Mia bowed down slightly.

Leon could sense her voice trembling. It was to be expected, it was he who was the anomaly. He wasn't too thoughtful about the situation.

It was just- survive.

He was also surprised that he was a lot calmer than the others his age.

"Sure." He answered. It was good to know someone, being alone wasn't the type of person he was anyway.

"Thank you!" Mia lifted her head. Her eyelids were wet with tears. She smiled at Leon before asking.

"I having caught your name yet."

"Leon."

"Okay."

People in white jumpsuits stood in an arena in an disorderly fashion. No one cared to arrange them well, neither will it matter.

The arena was covered with a white ceiling. Other than that if looked normal.

Standing a top a small floating platform was non other than Black.

[Attention Players, the first game is now commencing. Say your bye byes while you can!]

Black stretched out his arms wide.

[For the first game, we have Capture the flag!]

Murmur! Murmur!

Leon raised an eyebrow. They were using a children's game? Just what is this Pandora?

[The rules are simple, just get the enemy flag and return it to your base before he or she can do the same! Isn't this FUN!]

Black raised his voice at the end and laughed maniacally.

[It will be a 1v1. Stopping your enemy by any means is allowed, if not encouraged. The batches are already decided. Take a look at the hologram!]

A bright blue hologram appeared behind Black.

On it Leon could find his name and he widened his eyes.

"This is a joke." His voice trembled at the end. He turned to look at Mia and her eyes were full of tears ready to fall out.
