Shizuo mused as he read the news from his scroll while working at the bar in Junior's Club.
Shizuo is a tall, blonde young man, often seen in his signature bartender attire and stylish blue sunglasses. He's quiet and unassuming, focused on his work.
Despite his appearance, he's not fond of violence and is wary of his own formidable strength. Regrettably, he possesses superhuman power coupled with a short fuse; when provoked, he reacts almost reflexively, fighting with little control initially. This volatile nature is precisely why people instinctively flee from him.
He's a 3rd-year student at Signal Academy, a sort of secondary school for aspiring hunters and huntresses. Naturally, Shizuo was planning to go to Beacon Academy as that was the only way for him to get a huntsman license.
Shizuo resides in Vale, which necessitates a considerable walk or a ride on a bullhead to reach Signal Academy. His regular nocturnal outings are not a mere stroll, as he's always headed to Junior's, a bar managed by him a gangster who owns about 90% of Vale's bars.
Leaning against the bar, it wasn't long before someone approached him.
"I see you're still on the job, Shizuo. Never thought we'd have some alone time."
A voice remarked, drawing his attention as he mixed two cocktails. Glancing up, he surveyed the twin sisters gazing at him. Both sported long black hair, one donned in a white strapless dress, the other in red, appearing as though they had spent an excessive amount of time selecting accessories and applying makeup.
"Is that any way to address an employee, White?"
Shizuo inquired, passing the cocktails while she fixed him with a glare.
"Melanie, not 'White'. And yes, it is. If you're seeking better employment, look elsewhere."
She says with a glare.
"Be nice, Melanie. I'm Miltia. Do you remember me?"
Miltia asks with a smile.
Shizuo simply shrugs at both of them.
While taking their time over drinks, Miltia seems amused by Melanie's growing impatience. Miltia appears content, engaging in light conversation with Shizuo. Melanie, on the other hand, is less inclined to wait.
As Miltia sets her half-finished drink on the counter, Melanie snatches it up, finishing the drink in one gulp and placing the glass back down with a smug grin.
"Aww, looks like you're done. Let's go."
She declares grabbing Shizuo's arm, pulling him around the counter with some bottles and up to the upstairs above the Club.
"Melanie!"
Miltia sighs giving him an apologetic look as she does.
"I'll give you a hand once we're done."
She promises carrying more bottles.
Melanie stops before a private room door, as she goes to open the door his memory goes blank. Now, the legal drinking age in a world with fucking monsters and scientifically advanced weaponry would have different laws than whatever hellhole the real people crawled out of, henceforth, the age of consent, as well as the drinking age is 15.
"What the... UGH! My head!"
Shizuo woke up to a bone-crushing, mind-numbing headache. It took him a moment to realize he was naked before the covers of an unfamiliar bed slipped from him, exposing his muscular form. As he blinked slowly, his confusion mounted with each passing second.
He found himself in a private room at Junior's Club, and the odor of sex was overpowering. The stench of semen hung heavy in the air, and with the window shut, it seemed destined to linger a while longer.
Looking to both of his sides, all the breath escaped from Shizuo's lungs. There, in the bed next to each side of him in all their nude glory were the twins that many could only dream of the railing like a piece of meat. He didn't know if it was good or bad, but it seemed pretty good!
"...Wait, what do I use these on?"
"That was a good question."
Shizuo was puzzled about how the entire system worked, yet it didn't seem too bad, especially since it rewarded him for having fun with one of the most attractive bombshells around. The layout of his scroll was mostly unchanged; even the contacts were the same. The only differences were an unfamiliar app and a new black and gold design, rather than the usual white.
Nevertheless, this was a significant upgrade from his old, outdated scroll, so he had no reason to complain. The new app he discovered was named "Main Menu," and upon opening it, he was presented with two options: Store Shop and Status.

A typical huntsman who has graduated from an academy, regardless of which one according to these revered texts, holds a Rank Level of about Rank C. A few rare individuals, as these messages indicate, might be at Level Rank B.
Only the elite manage to attain Rank A in their Level Rank, suggesting that Shizuo wasn't too poor in comparison, but he still had significant room for improvement.
Before he exited the status menu, Shizuo received another system alert.
