At the residence of the Quinn Family, Old Mr. Quinn was trimming flowers and plants. He put down his shears, carefully observed his work, and absentmindedly asked, “Did Cynthia call today?”
The butler was momentarily speechless. Ever since Miss moved out to live on her own, Old Mr. Quinn would ask daily if she had called back.
However, she hadn't made a single call.
Collecting his thoughts, the butler calmly replied, “Master, Miss. Shannon recently took over the company, so it's natural she might not have time.”
Old Mr. Quinn snorted, “Those are just excuses!”
He picked up his cane and turned to leave, coincidentally passing by a few servants who were engrossed in watching a live broadcast on their phones. They were so absorbed they didn't notice Quinn's presence until the butler cleared his throat.
Startled, they respectfully called out, “Master.”
“What are you watching?” Old Mr. Quinn casually asked.
“Nothing…”
