chapter one

in a small village there's a beautiful girl named chizo,who was an orphan and was very hard-working, she was twenty two years old.she lived with her uncle okafor and his two children ekene and uzoma.her parents died when she was eight years in an accident ( they got bitten by a snake in the farm).

chizo was a kind girl many people loved her and many men came to seek her hand in marriage but got rejected by okafor soon no one came anymore

one day okafor asked her to cook after cooking for an hour he threw the plate of soup on her body telling her that she took too much time to prepare it and that he wasn't going to eat anymore. she broke down and started crying but Instead of comforting her he walked away telling her to go fetch water from the stream before he came back.

on her way home three girls passed and started saying how they pity her and could not do anything thing for her but one of the girls said am currently staying with my brother in the city I could take her with me but since I don't know her I will get to know her Sandra said.
