Company in the Kitchen

Enzo's parents sighed hearing Bella's laughter from the kitchen.

"Are they married or still dating, that girl doesn't even look pregnant at all " his father said.

"She is, and it's none of our business if they act like that... it's us who invaded their home so shut up " Danielle said.

He frowned, "Are you angry at me?"

She glared, "What do you think, you blew our chance of knowing about that sweet soul with your useless questions, and made Enzo angry "

"I didn't mean to, I just wanted to know her like you did " he said.

"Did you see how our son looked at us for making his wife uncomfortable? I know he's going to get back at us " she sighed.

"It's your fault for raising him like that "he uttered.

"You always blame me when we both know it's your fault he turned out ruthless like that "she smirked.

Her husband leaned back giving up for she was right.

If he had not taught him everything about his mafia business when he was still young then maybe they would have a obedient, normal son. But Enzo had exceeded his parent's expectations, they were happy but finally realised they had made a mistake.

Enzo was ruthless, and cold in their business making them the best and most feared family in the country. His parents tried to change him but it was too late.

When his mother tried to use marriage as a way for him to cool down, Enzo rejected each one of them, including the best-desired woman in the country.

"Maybe his gay?" his father had said.

"Then why doesn't he have any male companion?" his mother had answered.

After failing multiple times they had given up until they found out about Bella and their coming grandchild.

"We kept urging him to date and get married and he rejected every girl you suggested. But here we are now seeing him with a wife and child on the way " said his father.

"And I think we should be happy about it not angry " she said.

"I am happy but I want to know what is special about this one girl that all those girls didn't have for him to marry and have a child with her " his father said.

"Are you sure it's supposed to be peeled that way "Bella giggled.

Enzo looked up with red teary eyes, "that's how it's shown here " he sniffed.

"Bella laughed seeing his face, "Are you okay "

He nodded, "I am just a little blind "

Bella burst into laughter, "Need any help, you know I might not be good but I know a few tricks "

Enzo shook his head, "No, just sit back and let me ".

Bella chuckled getting closer to him, "Alright, let me just help you see again " Enzo felt her hand hold his chin pulling him up to her, using her long sleeve she wiped his tears.

He felt everything slow down as his eyes cleared up, the soft touch of her fingers under his chin and her body so close to him filling his nose with her sweet scent, Enzo found himself smiling.

"There, much better "she smiled. Noticing him staring at her, Bella blinked.

The silence between them increased and Bella found herself pulling away but she stepped onto something soft and a loud meow was heard. Startled Bella jumped back into Enzo's chest.

He grabbed her safely in his arms and looked back to see his cat walk away.

"Sorry that was Jenny, you must have stepped on her tail," he said.

Bella slowly turned to see the white cat angrily walk away.

"Ohh, sorry Jenny " she let out.

Enzo chuckled, "She's okay don't worry "

Bella turned back to him bumping into his close face, she froze as a memory of their first night appeared in her mind.

Instantly her face blushed, Enzo noticed and frowned, "Something wrong? he asked

"I think you're holding me too tight " she let out her eyes landing on his chest under his open shirt.

"Oh, am sorry " Enzo let go of her realising her face was redder now.

Bella breathed turning away from Enzo, wiping her face to calm down.

"Why the hell are you thinking about now, calm down "she whispered to herself.

Enzo noticed, "Bella are you feeling okay "

She nodded turning back to him, "Yeah I am " she smiled.

Soon they were back to cooking.
