The doctor says the accident that happened to Selena's parents was a hit-and-run. That's what the Doctor and the residents who helped and brought Selena's parents to the hospital said.
What kind of human would have the heart to leave an accident victim who should have needed help, but left him until Selena's father died?
Selena was angry to hear that. But it's useless if he reports to the police. There were no strong witnesses who witnessed the accident, as well as the deserted streets with minimal lighting as well as the absence of CCTV on the road where his parents' accident happened.
"I'll help as much as I can, Sel," said Alvaro beside Selena, as the girl daydreams of her mother's fate.
Selena's mother was paralyzed as a result of the great accident. Making Selena's sadness more painful than she thought.
"I don't have anyone now, Al," he said, sobbing in his lover's chest.
"My world is shattered, Al! My world is shattered!" he shouted again.
"There's still your mother, Sel. There's still me," said Alvaro reassuringly.
"I should have left earlier. If only I had left earlier, maybe... Maybe I could have stopped them from leaving. Or maybe, I could have gone with them, Al," Selena said with tears in her eyes.
Alvaro just looked at his lover sadly who was also crying. The beautiful girl who was always cheerful and always made him jealous was now in mourning. Perhaps his grief was even deeper than what he was experiencing now.
"I will find out the truth. Maybe there is evidence that we can report to the police," said Alvaro. Selena just nodded weakly. He was still sobbing and looked sadly at his mother who lay sick and still closed her eyes.
*********
Three days passed. Meanwhile, Selena's mother's condition has not improved. After injuries all over her body from an accident, Selena's mother was paralyzed and unable to walk. Rub salt into the wound. Not only was she paralyzed, but her husband's death still left a wound in her heart.
Wounds on the body may heal. However, the wound of losing someone we love, let alone going forever, will never heal the longing that bursts in the heart.
Selena felt sick to see her mother always crying and seemed to regret who has happened to her. Not just physical injuries. Because her psychology began to be disturbed because of the loss of his soul mate.
"Eat first. You also need the energy to take care of your mother," said Alvaro who came to bring food for Selena.
"You always bring me food, Al. Then what about your money? It should be your allowance for a month," said Selena worriedly.
All this time Alvaro always said that he was just a boarding house boy and came from an ordinary class who had no parents. Selena just doesn't know, that Alvaro Sebastian is the son of a rich family in her city. It's just that Alvaro deliberately hides his identity.
"Don't think about me. I started looking for a part-time job yesterday. And my salary will be paid every week," Alvaro replied with a small smile hoping to spread a smile on his girlfriend whom he had not seen in a few days.
"You work?" Selena asked, looking into those two eagle-like eyes.
"Yes! Only in a cafe. But, it is not too bad," said Alvaro lightly. Even though he was just looking for an excuse so that Selena didn't refuse his gift.
"After this, I also have to find a job, Al. I can't always depend on you," Selena said sadly and looked at her mother who was already asleep in her bed.
"Yes, we'll find work together later. You don't have to worry. Now, focus on your mother's health and recovery first," said Alvaro, who was nodded by Selena.
His heart still hurts after the death of his father. However, circumstances must make him strong. Because his mother needed him too. Luckily he had Alvaro by her side. If not, what will happen to Selena's fate?
"Oh yeah? Did you find anything at the scene of my parents' accident?" Selena asked looking at her boyfriend.
Alvaro was a little surprised to hear Selena's question. He stuttered to answer.
"Erm, that is... That, there wasn't anything. I didn't find anything there," Alvaro replied nervously. Selena noticed a strange behavior in her lover.
"What's wrong? Are you hiding something from me?" Selena asked suspiciously. Alvaro was even more surprised to hear that.
"Ah, no no no! I just, want to go to the toilet. Haha, that's right. I'm going to the toilet for a moment," said Alvaro avoiding Selena's question.
Although Selena was a little suspicious, the girl trusted her lover.
Alvaro stroked his chest. The pounding of his heart could be heard in his ears. How could he possibly say that there was something he found there? However, he was reluctant to say it. If only Selena knew about it, maybe their relationship will end here.
"I'll go home first after this, Al. I'll take Mom's or Dad's money for the hospital fee. Maybe, at home there is some money left to pay for this hospital fee," said Selena when Alvaro came out of the toilet.
"Okay, I'll take care of your mother here," said Alvaro, and Selena smiled in relief.
*********
The next day, Alvaro returned home. The roar in his chest seemed unstoppable. Because remember what he found at the accident site of Selena's parents.
Brakk!!!
Alvaro opened the door to the room in front of him roughly. And how surprised he was when he found his father was making out with a woman. Not once or twice, did he see it. He even felt disgusted to have a father like him.
"Hey, Boy! Can you knock on the door first?" Arkanta said by fixing his messy self.
Alvaro looked away, reluctant to see his father's behavior. His hands clenched tightly. After he saw the woman leave his father's room, Alvaro turned and glared at his father.
"Until when are you going to act like this?!!!" asked Alvaro angrily. He was sick of seeing his father always changing partners. After his divorce from his mother, every day Arkanta always brought a different woman.
"It's only natural that Mom left you! You look disgusting!" Alvaro was angry with him.
"Watch your words, Al!" shouted Arkanta glaring at his son.
Praakkk!!!
Alvaro threw an expensive match on his father's desk.
"It's yours, right?" asked Alvaro angrily. Arkanta looked at the thing in front of him. His eyes widened slightly as if surprised to see it. But, he quickly changed his facial expression to normal.
However, Alvaro had caught his father's surprise earlier. Makes him sure that what he found belongs to his father.
"Anyone has matches like that, Al. Why are you accusing me?" Arkanta asked his son.
Alvaro clenched his fists. He knew that his father was just denying it and dodging it.
"I really can't believe it! I have an irresponsible father like you!! You are disgusting! You are a murderer!"
"Stop your bullshit, Al!" shouted Arkanta who heard Alvaro's words and accused him of being a murderer.
"You must be responsible for your actions! Or I will drag you in jail," threatened Alvaro furiously at his father.
"You dare do that to your father?" asked Arkanta with a crooked smile.
Brak!
Sanjaya Abyakta, the Grandpa of Alvaro suddenly came into Arkanta's room and was arguing with his son.
"Grandfather would have done it himself if it wasn't the company name that would be at stake. It's too easy for the company name to be ruined just because of a lecherous person like your father, Al!" said Sanjaya, looking sharply at his only son.
"He's not even good at running the company!" continued Sanjaya again with an angry face.
Alvaro snorted in annoyance. He also realized and confirmed his grandfather's words. His father did not deserve to continue the company. And if the hit-and-run incident is known to the media, then the company will be at stake.
"As a punishment, you are not allowed to enter the company again! And you! I will transfer the shares you own to your two sons!" Sanjaya's command made Arkanta squint in surprise at that.
"How could that be, Dad!" Arkanta denied that he didn't accept it.
"I've thought about it carefully. I'm so tired of having to finish all the things you did! And now, there will be no more opportunities for you! Do as you please! on my list of heirs!" said Sanjaya firmly and left Arkanta's room.
Alvaro snorted in annoyance. He stared intently at his father. Then he went out to follow his grandfather.
"Grandpa, there is something I want to talk to Grandpa," said Alvaro, stopping his grandfather who was limping with a stick. Sanjaya gestured to his housekeeper who accompanied and helped him walk.
"Let's just go to Grandpa's room," said Sanjaya, who then walked first. Quickly, Alvaro helped his grandfather walk.
"By any chance, grandfather also wants to talk to you. Tell me! What do you want?" asked Sanjaya looking at his grandson.
Alvaro took a deep breath and began to express his desire.
"l wants to ask Grandpa for help. My friend requires a job. Please give her a job, Grandpa! I beg you!" said Alvaro approaching his grandfather.
"Who made you ask grandpa like that?" asked Sanjaya.
"She is someone important to me, Grandpa. And I want to help her," said Alvaro to his grandfather.
Sanjaya stared intensely at his grandson. A little thought for a moment then nodded his head without asking who was the most important person to Alvaro.
"Grandpa?" asked Alvaro feeling very happy. Sanjaya nodded and smiled.
"Does she know that you are a descendant of the Abyakta family?" Sanjaya asked Alvaro.
"No, Grandpa. I don't want her to know about it," said Alvaro. Sanjaya smiles.
"Okay. He seems to be someone very special to you," said Sanjaya, and Alvaro was a little embarrassed.
"But remember, Al! You have to continue your studies abroad, to continue this company," said Sanjaya, instantly wiping away the beautiful smile on Alvaro's face.
"Don't waste your time just for a moment's love," said Sanjaya, leaving Alvaro still frozen in his place.
His grandfather knew that someone was his lover.
