Chapter 1: A perfect day - Rachel

NOTES: The story was written for the contest "THE 5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT YOU", organized by Down Hanna's Ally and The Writers' Game

Rachel wore a beautiful 1950s-style white dress, signed by Vera Wang, a name that had the ability to enhance her beauty by giving it an elegant yet simple touch.

It was the best day of her life: nothing about her mattered more than him, her him whom she would marry in a few minutes.

She was still admiring her reflection of her in her mirror as Kurt added the final details of her to make her a real princess. Her image of her took her back in time, when she was still unaware of what was going to happen. That would be the moment that she would change her life, forever.

"Did you ask me to join you here to talk about your father?" Rachel asked tenderly.

"No, I want to talk about you, about us," Finn said awkwardly.

«I would have liked to set up a picnic like on our first date, but I didn't know where to find the glasses with the airplanes like this…».

«I told you that if you wanted you could kiss me. I still don't understand why you ran away ».

"I was just a little nervous."

"Certainly not my fault! Rachel immediately went on defense, making him smile.

"How nervous I am now."

"Why what's happening?" Rachel asked curiously but slightly worried.

«Look… I have to tell you something, but you have to promise you won't say a word until I'm done. I know how difficult it is for you, but you have to promise me. '

"Ok. I promise you, "she said smiling and happy.

«Er… I feel that all my life I have done nothing but wonder if I would have been a man worthy of my father, now I can't sleep at night for fear of becoming just like him. I wrote hero in school, nothing in life, except for one thing: YOU! You are like the light of a beacon that guides me in the darkness, you are a huge golden star and for some bizarre reason I allow me to love you. And if I convince you to allow me to love you again, everything will be magical for me: my life will be perfect. Um ... I used my first credit card for this, I know there isn't a pool full of dancers and I don't wear a tails and the ring is small but it's a promise. I promise to love you for the rest of my life. You just have to tell me yes. Rachel Berry, will you marry me? Finally, after his long rant, Finn admitted making Rachel speechless, literally.

The answer did not come immediately, but as soon as she said "Yes, I want to marry you" in the singing room, immediately after singing I Just Can't Stop Loving You, everything became perfect. Sometimes they could not communicate except with music and therefore, for this very reason, they let themselves be carried away by that melody that knew how to express well what they wanted to say to each other.

She was shaken by her reflections by a not very delicate scream coming from her best friend who had just arrived after an incessant sending of messages asking her to hurry.

" OMG! Rachel Berry, you are… you are beautiful, "Quinn said moved and hugged her, even though she was initially against marriage because she thought they were too young.

«Girls! Kurt screamed seemingly angry, sniffing at him.

"Now stop it or you'll ruin all my work," he scolded for taking turns crying.

It certainly didn't happen every day that their best friend got married, not when they were young like them: despite this, their love was destined for forever.

Hello everyone…. here I am back with a new story. It is the first time that I write in the Glee fandom, even though I love it; although I have so many stories in my head it is not easy, not after what happened to Cory. And after a long time, a lot of fear and a few tears I finally wrote a Finchel story.

The story takes place during 3x14: we know that after winning the Regionals Finn and Rachel get married, or at least they should, but then Quinn has an accident, but not in my story.

This is the moment when Rachel prepares to go to the altar, a moment that was not on the show but that I wish I could have seen.

For this story there are so many people to thank: I want and I have to thank first of all my cousin Vivana for being the first to read it and give me the advice the story needed, then I thank my sister for giving me so many ideas, without she the story would not have been born because ... well, just talking about something else gives me crazy ideas that I then can not help but put on paper. Finally, my thanks will go to you who I hope you will take some time to read it and if times let me know what you think. Finchel are my favorite couple followed by Klaine and Quick and therefore I would like to know what you think, moreover as I told you it was not easy to write it because Cory, Lea and Monchele were and are my point of reference, the my anchor.
