Awakening

Many stared at him in awe but they looked at the number displayed on the orb they were even more shocked. The level being displayed was 1. How he had awakened duel attributes but he was somehow a level one. "Young man it seems you have awakened duel elements, one of lightning and the other of darkness" as the old man said those words the whole room went silent. When they heard him say the words attribute of darkness people immediately stared at Quin in disgust. In this world attributes of darkness were frowned down upon. They were considered taboo, cursed, and unlucky. However, it was only due to the immense power they possessed that people feared them.

However Quin also possessed a lightning attribute which was very rare. Lightning attribute users possessed immense strength. It was so rare that in the last 50 years of the school's history they only had one user that had that attribute. People didn't know what to think of him. On one side he had the most rare attribute and on the other side he had a cursed attribute. However he was a level one while every other person in that room was either a level 10 or higher. Not bad Quin thought in his mind I've only had the lightning attribute a couple of times but never with a darkness attribute. I'm almost invincible if I train these. With these two attributes I could rule the continent if I wanted to.

When everyone was done the old man announced the rules of the school.

Rule number 1 you can always challenge others to a duel but you are never allowed to kill them.

Rule 2 you will have to obey the curfew and have to return to your dorms by 9:00.

Finally rule 3 is no relationships allowed on school property, those caught will be strictly punished.

When the old man was done talking a young man the same age as Quin approached him. "Nice to meet you, my name is Jason " said the boy extending his hand. "Nice to meet you too" said Quin, shaking Jason's hand. "So I was wondering since you possess dual elements how would you like to have a duel with me" said Jason smiling. "Of course" said Quin smiling right back at Jason as his eyes started emitting blue flames.
