“How was the party? And why Hooters?”
“It was great. No gay bars, or dance clubs for us. Just good old-fashioned conversation. Just bros talking about football, basketball.”
“What’s that?” asked Pad
“Funny,” laughed RJ. He slapped his hand on Pad’s shoulder then squeezed it. “I think we were hungry for the wings. Plus, it’s something different.”
Chaz nodded. “Bromos’ night out for sure. Of course it almost got into a shouting match when RJ confronted Liam about kissing you Pad.”
Pad looked up at the rearview mirror at Chaz who stared out the window as the car headed off. “That was over two weeks ago. That’s got no effect on what happens on July seven.”
RJ laughed. “Yeah, easy for you to say. What if you find out I was kissing guys all over town, what would you do?”
“I wouldn’t be happy,” said Pad. “The kiss didn’t do anything for Liam or me.”
“Obviously, he was all over his cop, when they were here,” bellowed Chaz.
“Did you hear from Ann, Chaz?” asked Pad.
