CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Back at the house,Li Yanshu and Mu Ze came in and saw Ya Shi and the twins sitted on ground while playing some kind of game. Even Li Cola was a little loosened while playing.

Ya Shi finally noticed Li Yanshu and Mu Ze standing by the side,he broke into a smile as he stood up"Shushu, you're back and all wet"he said raising a brow. Without waiting for her to speak,he said without hesitating"Wei Ye did this. I did tell you not to go, nothing good comes out of that woman".

Li Yanshu was amused,he seems to have lost all trust on Wei Ye,even her too but too bad Wei Ye wasn't the one behind it or the gunshot.

Li Yanshu was sure she hadn't offended anyone since she arrived apart from Luo Lin and Luo Lin was thrown out,she couldn't have gotten in again. Li Yanshu smiled"Wei Ye didn't do anything,it was my clumsiness that got me into this mess. Thank you for accompanying my kids,hope they didn't give you any trouble?".

"No they didn't, they're both cute and innocent angels"Li Yanshu glanced at Li Cola, surprised that he was called innocent but what she doesn't know was that Li Cola was only mean to Mu Ze and cool with others.

"Mama, welcome"Li Cherry said standing up and running to hug her mama, immediately her cheeks came in contact with the cloth,she looked up and said"mama,why is your cloth wet. Did you bath with clothes on?"

Ya Shi waved at Li Cola and Li Cherry"Alright you too, i'll go now"He then faced Li Yanshu"it was great staying with your kids,if you need my help again, give me a call".

"Uncle,bye"Li Cherry said with a cute smile,Ya Shi waved at her and left the family alone.

Li Cola glanced at his mama and said"Welcome mama, i'll be in my room"he didn't bother to acknowledge Mu Ze and went to his room. Li Cherry hugged Mu Ze also and left leaving Li Yanshu and Mu Ze alone.

"Who is he?"Mu Ze asked.

Li Yanshu was expecting that,she hadn't told Mu Ze about Ya Shi before,so she told him about how he visited her to greet her leaving his involvement with her past. She also briefed him about Ya Shi father's death.

Mu Ze nodded understandingly "So that's what happened?".

"Yes, i'll go have my bathe. As for your jacket,i will wash and dry clean it for you"She said thinking about how she'll return the jacket back to Mu Zhen.

Would she really have to go to his house? That's a thought for another day. Seeing Mu Ze approval,Li Yanshu went to her room to soak herself in a warm shower.

She pulled off her cloth and went into the bathroom,she turned the heater and the tap started to rush.

After making sure that the water was neutral, neither cold nor hot,she sinked herself into the water to relax.

She rested her head on the bathtub letting her whole body drown inside the water. Eyes closed,her mind drifted to what happened in the party,the attack,Mu Zhen wanting her to end his life and the kiss or to her otherwise known as mouth to mouth resuscitation.

She couldn't quite grasp what she felt during the kiss maybe because she was underneath the water. Mu Zhen had never taken the initiative to kiss her nor any intimate contact but today,he was different.

He even placed his jacket on her shoulders.

"Arggh...why can't i get you out of my head?"Li Yanshu yelled frustrated,she had thought that relaxing would help her forget him but it only made her brain take its time to examine the full situation.

No,she wouldn't be swayed so easily.

Mu Zhen loves Wei Ye,he planned her birthday for her and even walked with her to the stage,just like a good boyfriend would do.

He would never like her and it should remain like that,she would return his jacket and cut all ties with him.

She wouldn't let her dream become a reality,no one is taking her babies away from her.

Mu Zhen would always be Mu Zhen.

Assuring herself,Li Yanshu felt more better about herself,she carried a towel by the side and wrapped it around herself as she came out of the tub.

She dressed herself up and went out the room to cook dinner,she also took the jackets to wash them with a washing machine. She left the jacket to wash and then left for the kitchen.

Surprisingly,Mu Ze was there cooking for them. This was the second time he cooked,Li Yanshu felt lucky to have a man that does not only go to work and eat but also helps around in the house.

Seeing that he had everything under control,Li Yanshu went back to checking the clothes she was washing. Few minutes later,they were brought out of the washing machine clean,she then proceeded to dry it.

After drying it,she carried the one for Mu Ze and went to give him neatly folded.

Mu Ze was busying serving the food on the table when he sighted Li Yanshu"Oh, you're here. I just finished cooking"he said,he didn't sound angry that she didn't help him and she was glad for it.

"I brought your jacket,it has been neatly washed and dried"She stretched it towards him,Mu Ze collected it with a smile "Thanks,what about Mu Zhen's jacket,are you going to personally give him?"he asked.

Li Yanshu demurred before nodding"Yes,i am".

Mu Ze didn't respond at once, seconds passed and he said"Alright and if he tries anything,give me a call"he said and after a pause he added"will you go this night?"

"No, it's too inappropriate" Li Yanshu answered without hesitating.

Why would go and visit Mu Zhen in the night just because of a jacket,if one was to see her,he definitely won't believe what she say.

Even broad daylight is riskier but it's better than being caught in the night.

Mu Ze smiled approvingly knowing that he had chosen the right woman to settle with.

They called the children for dinner and when everybody was done,Li Yanshu went ahead to tuck her children to bed and then wash the dishes.

When she was done,she retired to her room. She went to open the computer she collected from Mu Ze and saw a new notification and it was from Qingchen school.

They had accept that her twins.

Li Yanshu read the letter over and over again before acknowledging it. Her children were to start schooling next week,they were two weeks late but they still accepted them.

Li Yanshu shut the computer and slept.
