A Boss battle
Looking at the message on her phone, she had to look twice to make sure it had actually come from Chris, but without a shadow of a doubt it was his name on top of the phone.
'This is the first time he's texted me.' Mai realised as she read the message over. 'What could I possibly help him with? He never texted me before, so doesn't this mean it's actually a very serious problem?'
The two of them had exchanged numbers the day all of them had gone out to the city together, but neither one had actually used that yet. There had simply been no reason for her to do so, and it seemed like it had been the same for him.
In the past she had been hoping that one day Chris would text her to ask her something or bring up some casual chat between the two of them. That this would bring them closer that way, kindling their feelings for each other. Of course, now she had far bigger problems.
