They all went to Travis and Grandpa.
Grandpa asked, “Do any of you need to eat? I have a refrigerator. There’s food in it.” They all shook their heads. “Then you should go to sleep, or try. I have a spare bedroom. It has a queen bed. I assume the women can share it. For Winston—” He shrugged.
“I can sleep on the couch.”
Grandpa said, “It’s old and lumpy. I never got around to getting a new one.” He moved close to Winston and hugged him. “I’m sorry about your house.” He moved to Angela and Joy and hugged them, kissing cheeks. “We’ll check it out in the morning and see if we can fix it. You are welcome to stay here until it’s fixed. Have you all warmed?”
Joy said, “Yes, Mr. Lee, we are all warmed. Thank you for your hospitality. We’ll try not to be a bother.”
“We’re neighbors.”
