Magic

When Thorfinn woke up he was greeted by the sights of Hild and Rebekah, both naked and clutching at his body. A goofy smile made its way onto his face as he looked at their bodies, their hard nipples pressing into his side and their soft shapely legs rubbing against his thighs. Needless to say, he was already hard. He had a wild night full of sex with Rebekah last night, she was just as insatiable as he was, and her desire was also enhanced by the pregnancy. Thorfinn ran his hand up Rebekah's thigh, his cock throbbing as he brushed against her soft skin.

He detached his other arm from Hild and moved onto his side and he began rubbing his cock against Rebekah's smooth legs. He moved her sleeping form onto her back where he got a better look at her growing breasts; normally Rebekah had a nice handful, but since her pregnancy, they had been growing, and now if he grabbed them they'd spill through his hands. Her dark pink nipples also looked large and puffy, making him lick his lips.

He moved his mouth over her nipples and gently sucked on them, her taste was addicting and it only made his cock pulse with desire. As he sucked on her nipples he moved his hands between her legs, his fingers traced through her blonde bush before brushing against her nub which was already stiff and poking through a small flap of skin. "Mmmm..." Rebekah hummed and instinctively spread her legs as he began touching her. Her nipples began to erect more in his mouth as he sucked and twirled his tongue around them, his index finger traced her lower lips before he sunk it inside her.

She was tight, even after pounding into her the night before her hole could once again only accommodate his finger. She gasped and moved her hips up encouraging him to go deeper, he obliged her and moved his finger down to the knuckle. He detached his mouth from the nipple and began kissing down her body, with every kiss he got closer to her sex and the euphoric smell that emanated from between her legs. He inhaled deeply when his nose brushed against her womanhood; he continued to pump his finger inside her, but also let his tongue move out of his mouth to taste the nectar that gushed out to her.

Thorfinn didn't know if it was his love and desire for Rebekah affecting his mind, but her juices were by far one of the best things he'd ever tasted. His tongue moved rapidly as he lapped up as much as he could, he ran his tongue down her lips getting as much of it as he good into his mouth. During this, he went lower than he planned to and his tongue ran over her backside hole; his eyes widened slightly as he expected it to taste dirty, but it didn't. While it didn't taste the same as her sex it was similar as her juices had mixed in with its natural taste. He probed her anus with his tongue again, twirling against the crinkled hole lightly. "Aaah..." Rebekah stiffened in his grasp and let out a moan in pleasure.

'Gods I can't wait anymore,' Thorfinn thought to himself before moving up her body and settling between her legs. His cock was painfully hard, so much so that he thought he might need two hands to aim it down to her hole. His eyes closed with pleasure as his cock head pushed her hole open; Rebekah's eyes opened at this point and she moaned at the feeling of being spread open by Thorfinn, her legs spread open instinctively and raised to his hips where she wrapped herself around him. She dug her heels into his backside encouraging him to go further inside her, she didn't need him to be gentle, her body was on fire and she needed to be cooled.

"Be rough with me..." she whispered to him. Needing no more encouragement he pushed inside her until he bottomed out. "Yesss!" She moaned, and Thorfinn groaned as well as he could feel the silky walls of her cunt rubbing against him. Pushing his head into the crook of her neck he started to thrust inside of her; Rebekah had to bite his shoulder to contain her moans, her fingernails scratched against his back leaving red trails.

Thorfinn moved onto his hands and started to thrust harder, the image of Rebekah moaning beneath him as her breasts moved up and down only brought him closer to his finish. His balls started to tingle and heave and soon he fell into her delivering strong thrusts as seed started to rush out of his cock. Rebekah moaned and held onto him tightly not letting him leave to make sure all of his seed was deposited inside her. So much of it came out that she suspected if she were not already pregnant she would be again.

Thorfinn breathed heavily as he moved his head up and gazed into Rebekah's eyes. "Will you wake me up like that tomorrow?" She asked with a grin on her face.

Thorfinn returned the grin "Try and stop me," he replied before digging his head back into the crook of her neck and biting her making her giggle and slap his back. "Get off you beast!" She laughed out.

However, the couple were interrupted as the door was abruptly opened Elijah stepped through. "Elijah!" Rebekah shouted as he cheeks reddened at seeing them in such a position.

"Is something wrong?!" Thorfinn asked as he was sure Elijah had a good reason for coming inside.

Elijah nodded "There is something wrong," he replied.

"The sun has been up for an hour and you're not outside training," He said with a deadpan face.

Thorfinn just sighed as he let his head drop on Rebekah, while the girl threw a pillow at Elijah who caught it. "I'll be out in a moment," he said to Elijah. The man walked out of the room leaving them alone again; Thorfinn looked at Rebekah who had a pout on her face making him laugh.

"It's still early, get some more sleep," he said before kissing her on the cheek and getting off her.

...

Thorfinn yawned as he stepped out of his home into the cold morning air. Elijah waited for him with two swords on his shoulders. "You couldn't have waited till later in the day?" He asked as he walked up to the older man.

Elijah kept a blank expression on his face while throwing him a blunted blade. "You are growing too lax, you are lucky I did not wake you as I did before," he said referring to the early morning attacks he had experienced throughout spring.

Thorfinn raised an eyebrow at him "Why didn't you?" He asked, in truth he had expected those attacks from him, though perhaps it was the presence of his sister that stopped him.

"This is your home and I'm a guest, attacking you would be a dishonourable act, even if it's only training," Elijah responded before twirling the blade in his hand and taking a stance.

"Now show me what you've learned since we last fought," Elijah said before rushing toward Thorfinn barely giving him a chance to bring his sword up. Their swords clanged as Thorfinn blocked Elijah's blade, the older boy attempted to overpower Thorfinn, but Thorfinn pivoted his feet to the side making Elijah fall forward. However, Elijah let himself roll into the fall and quickly stood back up swinging his sword while spinning around. Thorfinn avoided the attack which surprised Elijah due to its speed of it.

Thorfinn attempted to kick him but Elijah avoided it and sliced at his chest, Thorfinn only barely brought his sword up to defend himself but was sent stumbling backwards. They continued to fight and clash swords neither of them getting the advantage over the other; it became clear to Elijah that while he still held the advantage in strength Thorfinn surpassed him in speed. 'He's even faster than before,' Elijah thought to himself as he ducked under a slash before hitting his pommel into Thorfinns stomach.

Elijah couldn't help but think of how frightening it was, the rate at which Thorfinn had improved. While he wasn't close to Elijah's level in skill, his speed made up for that; it was impressive that Thorfinn was fast enough to make up for his lack of skill 'He's definitely not normal,' Elijah thought to himself. Elijah backhanded Thorfinn then tried to capitalise on the opening by hitting him across the head with his sword and finishing the fight.

Even as someone who had been fighting for over half his life, imminent victory made Elijah complacent. Thorfinn instead of trying to dodge, stepped inside his guard and wrapped his arm around his upper back before lifting him slightly and then spinning around while falling to the ground and tossing Elijah to the floor. The unexpected move shocked Elijah and he lost his grip on his sword, he attempted to grab it but Thorfinn already had his blade pointed at his neck.

"Seems like I win," Thorfinn said with a grin.

Elijah snorted "Seems you do," he replied before accepting the hand that Thorfinn had given him.

"What was that move?" Elijah asked while he wasn't entirely familiar with wrestling —as his father believed them to be above such things— he had never seen that particular move before.

"On my journey, I found many things, most important of which is knowledge," Thorfinn explained.

"There existed an ancient empire a long time ago, the greatest empire on earth, a scroll I found had drawings and instructions of a fighting style they used," he continued.

"What other things did it describe?" Elijah asked. He had to admit he was interested, in a fighting style from an ancient empire, especially since he had seen how effective it had just been.

"I will show you, it is similar to our wrestling, but the moves are different, I also think they could be applied while using the sword," Thorfinn said.

"You plan to make a new way to fight?" Elijah asked with a raised eyebrow.

Thorfinn shrugged "I have not yet mastered our way, I do not think I could bring out the full potential of such a mix unless I do," he replied.

"Then it seems I must train you even harder than before," Elijah said with a cold expression on his face.

Thorfinn sighed, he had thought the next 7-to 8 months would be as relaxing and pleasurable as he would be with Rebekah, but now between the training and the work he was conducting on his land, he wouldn't be getting much time to relax.

"Since you beat me today I'll allow you to have the rest of the morning to yourself, but I expect you to be out here at first light tomorrow," Elijah said walking past Thorfinn and heading to the barn where his horse was.

Thorfinn nodded before heading off into the forest deciding to begin one of the other activities he'd be engaging in.

...

Thorfinn looked down at a small tree trunk a couple of heads taller than he was and half as thick. Many of the books and scrolls he had taken —especially De Medicina— spoke of the importance of exercise and moving the body to a healthy. However one particular scroll wrote about a group of island people who were fierce warriors, they built their bodies up since they were children to physical perfection. Most of the scroll was unfortunately eroded, but what he could understand spoke of the importance of working muscles until they burned and hurt.

Thorfinn was fast and at times he could summon great strength, but most of the time he was weaker than most people —since he was only young. He wanted to get stronger and if this was what allowed him to do it then he would do it until he collapsed. He picked up the tree trunk, his arms shaking as he did, he then put it between his neck and arms and began to walk.

...

It was midday before Thorfinn fell to the ground panting heavily, his entire body was in pain and he felt like he couldn't move. It felt like someone had set a fire inside his arms and shoulders and he was burning from the inside out.

He lay collapsed on the ground for a while, his body didn't feel any better but eventually, he summoned the energy to stand up. "I hope it gets easier..." he said to himself as he slowly started to walk back to his house; while he had missed breakfast he hoped Hild made something for lunch as his stomach was twisting in hunger.

When he passed the tree line and came within sight of his home he was seen by Floki. "Thorfinn! Where've you been we have much work we need to do!" He shouted as he walked over to him.

"This is going to be a long summer," he said with a sigh.

...

"You look tired," Blaeja said with a giggle as Thorfinn collapsed down next to the fire pit in his house. Hild and Rebekah were cooking food while Helga showed Arwyn how to properly care for the animals they kept. Floki and Elijah both went down to the mine as they wanted to see the Tomb with their own eyes.

Thorfinn rolled his eyes as he brought his book onto his lap and opened it. "You're wasting your time with that book," Blaeja said as she recognised it as the 'Book of Shadows'.

"You doubt the existence of magic?" Thorfinn asked.

Blaeja closed the pages of her own book as she looked at Thorfinn "I've been told my entire life magic is evil, and those that practice it consort with devils," she stated.

"You don't agree?" He asked.

"I've not seen it with my own eyes, many times have I seen a woman being burnt at the stake by my father for sorcery, but the only evidence is usually the words of others," she explained.

"Then perhaps I can convince you," Thorfinn said with a smile as he turned the pages to the enchantments section. He had been planning on testing this yesterday but with the arrival of Rebekah, he had spent the day with her instead. Finding a spell he could practice he grabbed a stone from the outside of the fire pit and held it in the centre of his hand. Blaeja looked at him intently, she had never known Thorfinn to speak falsely, so if he knew magic to be true then there was likely more to this.

"Hathian," he spoke out.

"Impressive..." Blaeja commented with a smirk on her face as if nothing happened.

Thorfinn ignored her and looked at the stone once again "Hathian," he said a little louder, but again nothing happened making Thorfinn tut in frustration. He continued to try and kept failing, according to this book it was a simple spell so if he couldn't do it then it was likely he did not have the gift of magic.

Thorfinn finally placed the book down taking a break. "Giving up?" Blaeja asked.

Thorfinn was close, he was close to accepting that he didn't have magic, but his thoughts were then brought back to words Floki had told him. When he carved runes it wasn't enough to just carve them, you needed to understand their meaning; to fully immerse yourself in what the rune means and only then can they affect the real world.

Hathian was a spell that heated an object. Thorfinn started to think of what he knew about heat; fire, light, destruction, warmth, there was much heat could relate to. 'What does it mean to me...' Thorfinn questioned himself.

Thorfinn held the stone out in his palm again, he immersed himself in thoughts of heat and focused intensely on the stone. "Hathian!" He said loudly. He knew immediately that something was different this time as he felt a tangible effect on his body, he felt his body drain slightly making him feel tired.

However, a smile stretched across his face as he felt the stone in his hand start to get warm. Eventually, he dropped it as it became too hot to hold, it quickly became red before it stopped heating up. Blaeja watched the whole thing with wide eyes, she couldn't deny she had just seen Thorfinn heat a rock with nothing but his words. "Amazing..." she whispered out as she moved off her chair onto her hands and knees and she inspected the red-hot stone.

Thorfinn didn't pay attention to that however, he was close to roaring in victory at his feat; Those with magic were rare and they were always respected in society. 'Another reason Mikael won't refuse me,' he thought to himself as he stood up with his book. Once Rebekah had given birth he would ask his permission to Marry her; though if he was honest he wouldn't be taking no for an answer.

Later that night when Floki and Elijah had returned he grabbed Floki outside to speak with him. "Floki, I have the gift," Thorfinn told him.

Floki giggled "What gift might that be Thorfinn, you seem to be gifted in many aspects."

"Magic Floki, look," Thorfinn clarified before picking up a stone and holding it in front of him.

"Hathian," he spoke out causing the stone to heat up and sizzle before turning red.

Floki raised his eyebrows "What language do you speak Thorfinn, I do not recognise it," he asked.

"An old language from the people before the Saxons," he replied.

"Interesting..." Floki said as he poked the hot stone before looking at his finger.

"What do you wish of me Thorfinn?" Floki asked, but it wasn't hard to guess.

"Show me the runes you carve, I want to learn them and their meanings," He asked.

Floki smiled "Will you have enough time to learn such things? You are already so busy," he stated.

"I will make time," Thorfinn replied.

Floki nodded "I shudder to think how powerful you will be in a year's time."

(AN: So another slow chapter, but this is just informing you of the things Thorfinn will be doing over the next 7-8 months. A small time skip next chapter where Gyda and Lagertha will be visiting and Arwyn will begin her training. Now just to let you know Thorfinn has two mystical energies inside him. His regular magic which others have as well, and a much rarer divine energy which rare Demi gods have. He won't be able to access his divine power for a while as he can't even recognise his own normal magic. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the chapter.)
