Stranger vs monster. A surprise enemy appears

We are approached by the volcano monster. It declares us as enemies of the country. It spews lava from its mouth. How do we defeat such a monster. A monster made of a mountain.

"Don't worry. He is nowhere near as strong as the king."

The stranger gives me a potion to drink. Upon drinking it my strength is replenished. He asks me to help in fighting the monster. If we tame the lava we tame the monster says Franz. The snowball will prove effective. The snowball? It is a bomb he says. He throws the snowball at the monster. The arm is paralyzed. He then teleports himself on top of the monster and shoots at his arm with the shotgun. The arm falls off. The monster tries to crush Franz with his hand. But he stops the weight with his power. Yes! I then try to slice his arm with my sword. But I can't. I don't have the power. Is this what I trained for? To not even be able to hurt my enemies. I am angry.

Don't beat yourself up on it kid. These are powerful monsters. Way stronger than what you trained for. For now tend to the one behind you.

I turn to see a man standing behind me. He approaches me with a relaxed demeanour.

"You are important. Your side will win. Always." he speaks. "I am a half dragon. My name is Morza."

"Let me guess, you want me to join your leader, a monster."

"No. A thousand years ago, a man wanted to test his spirit against gods. Why do gods have to be stronger than man. The man decided to fight.... against the gods." he says.

"Yes. the king of the warring faction is a man."

So the ruler of the monsters is a human.

There is an explosion. Franz has defeated the volcano monster.

He then comes to attack him.

The stranger will face against the dragon?

"It will be my honour to fight against you."

"You might try. But it is impossible to defeat me."

He is that strong? Guess crossing over wasn't all that good. I need Aster to wake up.

"Wake my friend."

"If you defeat me here. I will wake her up."

"Bring it on. If I have to I will die trying."

Morza smiles.

"I will let you pick a side. You do have a strong spirit. Humans with strong spirit are needed to fight."

A side? What is he talking about?

The half man speaks.

"The king gives everyone a side to choose."

"I will not side with you."

"I hope I can show you how strong we are. Then you will surely join us."

"No. I will not join terrorists like you. Unlike you, I am not swayed by power alone."

" You betray humans by siding with the gods. Pick your side wisely. Though I will wake your friend and take both of you forcefully...."
