Fiendish

Histoire suffers from short-term memory lapses. She begins life anew with a few lost memories including those of a god, Fiend, who is in love with her. Her best friend is also in love with her, but her love interest is someone who lives in another country. She meets a wealthy young man who happens to be her neighbor and an old school mate she forgot about. Together they face hardships until Fiend returns to her and new problems arise. Histoire forms new relationships with other people, but knowing what their fates are, Fiend gives her an ultimatum: that she can only save one out of the five. Who will she decide is worthy of being saved?

The sound of the water running in the bathroom rang throughout the suite just as the steam created by the hot water accumulated in the bathroom's atmosphere. Thanks to the technique she learned long back, Histoire was able to stabilize her breathing. A new painful throbbing began in her head, but it was nothing a painkiller could not fix.

When the mist began to hide away her reflection in the mirror, she ceased staring at her form, mainly her eyes, and moved away to heat up her body. It seemed counterproductive to take a hot bath when her body temperature had risen so much, but she was shivering simultaneously as well. She had been out in the cold for a while and was completely drenched, wearing clothes that were completely cold until she took them off after Deus booked a suite for them at a hotel.
