strange happenings

Ricky sat quietly in my room sipping tea. She was still a little flustered.

When she was done, I looked into her eyes and explained everything that has been happening.

Ricky's eyes widened in surprise.

"You mean Drayce and Mr Davis has powers?" She asked bewildered.

"I am as as surprised as you are. I know this might be strange but I need you to be calm about this. Don't be scared..."

"What the fuck are you talking about Ariana? Am not scared. I think it's pretty cool.

Your boyfriend has super powers" Ricky said interrupting me as she wiggled her eyebrows playfully.

I sighed in relief.

At least she wasn't freaked out.

"Do you know where Drayce lives? I need to get answers quick" I asked Ricky.

"I don't know where he lives. You just have to calm down girl. He'll resume soon and you can ask him all your questions and make out as long as you want " Ricky replied with a straight face despite saying something embarrassing.

"Ricky!!!" I screamed and threw a pillow at her.

She laughed and threw a pillow back at me.

A pillow fight ensued.

Thirty minutes later, we were both exhausted from running around so we went downstairs to eat lunch.

As we ate, I told her all the strange things that has been happening to me as well.

"Woah! What if you have powers as well?" Ricky suggested with a happy face.

I thought about it deeply. I have never been able to do any extraordinary thing.

"I don't think so Ricky "

"C'mon Ariana, maybe you have not activated it yet or something "

I laughed heartily.

"You have a wild imagination because you watch too much movies"

"Don't say I didn't tell you Hun "

*Ring ring*

Ricky's phone buzzed.

She picked it up and her face changed a little.

She swallowed hard and picked it up.

"Erykah smith!!!! Where the fucking hell are you?" The person screamed loud enough for me to hear even when the speaker wasn't turned on.

Wait, Ricky's full name is Erykah smith? Funny how I don't even know my best friend's full name. What am I saying? I know nothing about her but she knows everything about me.

Am such a bad friend but not anymore. I thought silently.

"Umh... Ariana, I need to leave now. Thanks for the lunch though. I'll be on my way" Ricky said standing up already.

"Wait, I'll go with you" I said standing up as well.

"Are you crazy? Please, stay back"

"No! I won't let you handle that beast alone ok? Now wait for me, I'll change quickly and we can be on our way"

Ricky sighed heavily and sat down.

I quickly ran upstairs and changed into a pair of baggy jeans and top.

I held my hair in a messy pony tail and went downstairs.

"I'm done Ricky, let's go"

Ricky looked up and sighed.

"I envy you girl. You always manage to look good without even trying "

I laughed not taking her seriously.

We took my driver and arrived at Ricky's place in fifteen minutes.

I told the driver to wait for me at a distance.

"You still have a chance to leave Ari"

Ricky said holding my hand tightly.

"No, I need to meet that animal" I replied holding her hands firmly to reassure her.

We walked hand in hand to her front door.

The house was simple and beautiful not too extravagant like mine.

She knocked on the door.

I could hear footsteps hurrying towards the door and the door opened to reveal a mean looking man. Without looking at me he dragged Ricky into the house roughly. He didn't seem to notice me.

"You've kept me waiting for a long time bitch. I can't wait to have a taste of you honey"

He made to slam the door shut but I stretched out my hands and held the door in place.

He finally noticed me.

"Hi, Mr Smith, my name is Ariana. Am Ricky's best friend" I said to him forcing a smile.

He looked at me up and down and smiled lewdly.

"Wow, I didn't know Erykah has such a beautiful friend. Please, come in" he said nicely. His previous aggression gone in a second.

I walked in cautiously.

"Please, have a seat while I prepare something for you" he said smiling.

"That's not necessary Mr Smith" I said rejecting it already.

"Nonsense! This is the first time you are coming here. Let me treat you a bit. And please call me James" he said as his eyes roamed my body lecherously.

I forced a smile and nodded.

"As you wish James" I stifled a reply.

" perfect! Let me make you and your friend some lemonade. Ricky, you can go take a quick bath and change" he said looking at Ricky pointedly.

Ricky shivered and went to her room.

I observed the house quietly. It has a nice decor.

James soon emerged from the kitchen holding a bottle of juice and a glass cup.

"Am sorry, I couldn't remember how to make a lemonade so I thought I could just offer you some juice" James said with a smile.

I observed the bottle of juice it was clearly new and it has not been opened yet because the seal was still intact.

James opened the juice and poured the content into the glass cup and handed it over to me and sat down.

"So, how did you and Ricky meet? This is the first time am seeing you" James asked trying to start up a conversation.

" Oh, I was a new student and Ricky showed me around the school and I guess we just clicked " I said as I drank the juice.

"Nice..." He replied and his smile began to get creepy.

I was quite scared.

Suddenly, I heard banging coming out of Ricky's room.

"Get me out of here!! Open the door this instant you monster!!!" I heard Ricky screaming.

"You! Why did you lock Ricky up in her room?" I asked him with wide eyes.

I tried to stand up but the whole room began to spin and I fell on the chair.

My eyes were spinning. I couldn't focus on anything.

"What did you do to me?" I asked James weakly.

"My dear Ariana, it's nothing out of the ordinary. We are going to have a good time, don't worry" James said walking towards me. I couldn't lift my hand because I felt weak all over.

I could hear Ricky screaming my name.

James was finally in front of me.

His hands began to roam my body.

"You are such a beautiful specimen " he muttered softly.

His lips descended on mine and I shut my eyes and lips tightly not wanting to have his dirty lips on mine.

Suddenly, my vision began to clear slowly and my body regained it's strength.

James' lips were still on mine and I quickly pushed him off of me and he fell with a thud. He wasn't moving again and his face was as white as snow.
