Dan Hyukbo point out the reason for that failure to incompetent leaders who was assigned due to their connections and not because of their capabilities."

Kyo Han in the other hand, was called by his comrades as the 'Nasty Drunk Fighter'. Not because he ask for fight when his drunk but because he ask to fight strong men on the camp who are intoxicated from alcohol.

He brutally do it so that they could not take revenge even after getting sober.

At first, Lord Dan was furious after hearing the news of his strong men falling one by one. But then he was amazed how willing the rest of his army trying to defend Kyo Han. In fact, Kyo Han used to defend the bullied members of his unit until his name grows and many other asked for his help and joining his righteous cause.

Lord Dan invited Kyo Han on a drinking session. According to those that is present, Lord Dan was furious on how the hierarchy within his military had fallen due to Kyo's action. Lord Dan nagged more as Kyo only treated him with silence making the lord even more furious.

After a while, Kyo Han spoke. He said to the lord, 'What is the use of an external enemy if my greatest opponents are within the camp,'

'I'd rather be slashed by my enemy upfront than be beheaded by my so called comrades at the back.'

That did not completely convinced Lord Dan so instead, Kyo was punished of serving the forefront of the army. That is when Kyo finally shown his talent at the battlefield and earned greater recognition possible..."
