Captivated By The Demon King's Wings

Vincent looked happy to hear that from her as he flashed her a smile that revealed his slightly pointed teeth. Some may have found the teeth terrifying, but she found them very attractive. She found herself staring at them and wondering how it would feel to let him finally mark her as his mate. To feel those sharp teeth graze her neck and claim it. She started feeling hot as she thought about it and her face blushed red.

"Thank you, Quinn, but why is your face so flushed." He asked as he raised his left hand and placed the back against her forehead.

"It's the heat, but let's not pay attention to it." She said as she used her own left hand to fan herself then placed it back on her lap.

He dropped his hand from her forehead as he looked at her with a puzzled look. But he eventually nodded and resumed eating, and she did as well. She glanced at him as she said, "I also went through soldier training back at home like my brothers did. So I want to continue training to sharpen my skills if it is alright with you since I know that a Queen is not supposed to fight."

He looked at her with an impressed and proud expression, "That is very impressive. Most princesses even in our kingdom do not know how to fight, and yes, Queens are not supposed to fight. However, we are in the demon kingdom and you need to know to protect yourself. I can train with you privately without anyone knowing, but I would never let you go to war."

She let out a sigh as her face was almost back to its normal color, "Yes, I understand. Thank you, Vincent."

"It is my pleasure to make you happy, Quinn." He replied as he finished eating the food on his plate. He picked up the cotton serviette beside the plate to wipe his mouth with it.

She felt her heart beat faster at his words and felt herself smile. She had never had someone apart from her family that would put effort into making her happy. "When are we starting?"

"Soon, I would have to see the right time for us to train and then, I will inform you." He replied as she also finished eating her dish. She picked the cotton serviette beside her plate and wiped her mouth clean with it.

"Okay." She answered as he leaned back against his chair, watching her.

"I also have something even more extravagant planned for you." He murmured, bringing her gaze to him.

"Oh? Something more extravagant than this?" She asked with raised eyebrows in question.

"Yes." He answered and took her right hand that was resting on the table in his.

She only blinked and they were standing in front of a beautiful sunset above a sea. The sun was emitting rays in the sky as it went down. "Wow!"

"Beautiful, isn't it?" He asked and she looked at him, looking surprised and amazed.

It was night time at the demon kingdom, but where they were now was early evening. He must have used his fast speed to take them to another land.

"Yes, very." She answered and he pulled her closer to him with the hand he was holding. He let go of her hand and placed his hands on her waist. He pulled her closer until she was pressed against him.

Their gaze connected and she realized how close they were standing. Their faces were only inches apart. His gaze fell to her lips before going back to her eyes. He murmured as he gripped her waist, "Hold on tight, I am going to show you something that not everyone knows about me."

Quinn placed her arms around his neck and held on tight as she nodded. She blinked her eyes again and they were flying in the sky. She gasped, feeling so shocked as she stared at the large white wings protruding from Vincent's back. His dark eyes continued staring into her brown ones. "What do you think?"

She looked down at the land below them as they flew horizontally to it. It looked beautiful especially in the night. Lamps lined the houses and streets in a captivating glow. "It's beautiful."

She raised her head to his wings before looking back at him, "But your wings are more beautiful. I never knew you had them."

"Yes, only very few do including mother and royal grandmother. Only demons from the first bloodline of demons have them, and my father is from that bloodline as well as me. But not everyone knows that we are."

"How come and why are you hiding it? Is that why the dark witches are so against you?"

"Yes, demons from the first bloodline are the strongest and most powerful. We are stronger than all the other supernatural kingdom and the dark witches are afraid that we would be their downfall. So they have murdered all the demons from that bloodline except me."

"But why the dark witches only and not the good ones?"

"As you can see my wings are white, we have the power to destroy the dark creatures. Our ancestors were protectors of the world from evil. But demons in our bloodline became so few that they could not fight dark creatures. My father sort peace from them so that everyone will be in harmony."

"But then why have they changed their minds if they had agreed to it in the first place?"

"The ruler of the dark witches that agreed to the peace treaty passed away and his son ascended the throne. He murdered my father and had me captured when your grandfather came across me." Vincent answered and changed their direction to fly vertically.

He flew her up into the sky and she let out a squeal in excitement as she held onto his neck tighter. He let out a laugh at her excitement. She looked back at him, still excited.
