Fate/Demi-Servant

What happens when there's another person besides Mash who becomes a Demi-Servant? And that contractor is from Gilgamesh of all Heroic Spirits? You get this! There will be SMITE references for Gilgamesh/MC, considering I will be using an original NP since Enuma Elish will be later down the story. [Before we begin, this story is an experiment! My knowledge of Fate is limited. However, as I write this story, I'm reading Light Novels and FGO Manga and playing FGO. So don't expect this story to be anything special. After reading a lot of Fate fanfics, I had this idea, but I was ultimately disappointed by the lack of Demi-Servant MCs.] [Like most other Fate Fanfics, Harem is included, but probably no smut unless I feel it's appropriate!] I hope that this will get people to try this rare trope out!

Blondes

With a new class, Mars felt more at ease than he did Archer. His mind worked like a supercomputer, transmitting thoughts quickly and leisurely. His aura was also infectious, having felt that Jeanne was no longer on guard with his presence. Another thing about Jeanne is the sudden feeling he gets from her. He has no clue. With his thoughts merged with Gilgamesh, he looks at her as if she were the Holy Grail itself, pure, radiant, and dazzling.

Perhaps Mars had a thing for blondes? This same feeling might have happened with Artoria…who he forgot to summon. He was sure she would've responded. He'll try again when he's in contact with a stable Leyline.

Mars could call his Servants with a Command Seal, but he could tell they were too far away for them to adhere to the call. He hopes that they're with Gudako and Mash. They could watch over each other in the meantime.

Mars looked to his right to see Jeanne staring at him. Her gaze was like a child trying to figure out a puzzle. Mars could only quirk a brow which caused her head to turn the other way instantly.

<i>Women were something else.</i>

"I know I'm handsome, but it's rude to stare," Mars spoke bluntly. His words weren't that of a tease. He was purely self-confident, so much so that his words could be mistaken as law.

Truly, he was starting to show who he really was.

"S-Sorry, it's just. Despite the situation, you're calm. I can't help but feel a bit jealous of that," Jeanne admitted with her violet eyes gazing back at Mars.

"Ah! Truthfully, if you had encountered me before, I probably would be making jokes to cover my anxiety. Right now, being a Caster, I feel like a tranquil stream. Now, I only need to shine brightly like Scimitar."

"Scimitar?"

"My Noble Phantasm. It's a sword I created with my very soul that matched the radiance of a thousand suns. Gilgamesh seemingly locked away his Noble Phantasm as he deems me unworthy of gazing upon it."

From Jeanne's understanding, if Mars has the power of Gilgamesh, who she learned was the King Of Heroes, Mars should be able to use Gilgamesh's Noble Phantasm, yet it seemed the Treasure Loving King was entertaining himself by putting these restrictions on Mars.

Jeanne was astute; she could tell Gilgamesh was testing Mars, but she didn't know for what reason and how far this test would go. If he was an Archer before and now a Caster, Gilgamesh wasn't just sleeping as he should, but very active and probably listening in on their conversation.

"If I may be so bold, shouldn't you have concerns about Gilgamesh's true intentions? Surely locking away his Noble Phantasm has hindered you significantly," Jeanne asked. Her tone was like a musical note, melodious and soft to hear.

Mars looked forward before his eyes wandered up into the sky. His crimson eyes shrank as they landed on a ring of light. Despite its appearance, it gave off an ominous feeling that made Mars gut wrench. He knew that such a thing wasn't recorded in the natural history, so it's a sign of the Singularity. Jeanne also had the same thoughts as she looked at the ring of light, with widened eyes.

"That…"

"Is proof of the Singularity. I need to obtain the Holy Grail that's been placed here and take it with me or destroy it."

"The Holy Grail did this? But…"

"It can grant any wish. However, no one during this time should have the Holy Grail, which is why this Singularity happened," Mars answered, his tone carrying a weight that caused Jeanne's body to tense.

"I see…It's worse than I thought, hm-"

In the distance, the sound of screaming could be heard, along with it, a chorus of beastly roars that echoed throughout the path. A small town was up ahead, with deep black smoke rising like a current.

"Hm. It seems we can't even get to know one another without trouble. Well, let's move on! Red Carpet!"

Out of a golden ripple that caused Jeanne to blink, came a magnificent red carpet with golden patterns and a gold outline. It seemed to possess a mind of its own as it floated in the air as if waiting for an order.

"This here is my horse!" Mars jumped on top of the carpet and had his free hand out for Jeanne to grab. She was reluctant as…this wasn't a horse! She shook her head and took his hand, jumping on the surprisingly firm carpet. It was as if she was on the ground.

She felt another wave course through her. "Why do I feel…"

"That would be the perk of the Red Carpet. She can stabilize a person so they cannot fall off unless hit by a strong attack. She can also wash away your fear. I suggest you wrap your hands around my waist. She likes to go fast."

"E-Eh?"

"Don't dawdle now! We have people to save."

"Y-Yes!" Mars turned his body forward as he allowed for Jeanne to wrap her arms around his stomach, Despite the Red Carpet's perks, she still felt uneasy about being off the ground.

<i>"Huh…they're about 85 centimeters...no, a bit bigger, 90?"</i> Mars thought to himself as he felt Jeanne's bosom on his back.

.

.

.

"It seems that he has finally arrived."

In a cathedral, two figures stood in the center, far from Mars and Jeanne's location. One of them was a hunched figure with a nasty appearance, with his most prominent trait being his eyes that seemed ready to pop out.

The next was female, with her appearance that of Jeanne D'Arc, but her hair was a pale yellow, and her eyes a bright yellow. Her hair was cut short, her armored outfit was completely black, and the flag in her hand was also the same color.

"And whom is this person you speak of, Jeanne? Surely not that presence you felt before?"

"It's the same one, Gilles. It seems fate wants us to meet, although I wonder what he'll be like, a shitty mouse or a righteous Dragon that God has sent in response to quell my hatred."

<i>AN: And that's the second upload for today. So that's 2/7 chapters done for the week. So, this was more like Mars and Jeanne discussing things and how they feel about the situation. As you guys noticed, the start of this Singularity is vastly different, with Mars being separated etc. All for the sake of drama, so I hope you guys don't mind this. </i>

<i>The meeting between Mars and Jeanne Alter will be gold, trying to devise a good way to write their first interaction.</i>

<i>And, before I forget, I got a few comments wondering if I'm going to do an R-18/Smut scenes and as of now, I'm not, Although I've been heavily hinting at that, I myself feel like it'd be terrible. I don't want to make my first one, and it ends up being terrible, so I may ask someone else to write that for me. In the meantime, I will practice but won't upload them until I feel I did it right. </i>

Thanks for reading! :]
