Finding a way

Days had passed since Adriana woke up in another person's body and she was already getting impatient. She still had not figured out a way to reach out to the girl and the worst part was that she was blatantly rejecting her calls.

Not that she had not tried using another line to call her but once she knew it was her, she would hang up immediately which only aggravated Adriana the more but she wasn't in a position to confront her openly right now as she knew no one would believe her. No one believed the poor.

She used her right hand to rub her stomach that was now growling at her due to hunger, the girl's savings which she had found hidden at some place she considered to be a dumb way to hide it was almost finished and she didn't want to use it all. What was she to do now? The pains in which she felt didn't subside and just grew worse each day but there was nothing she could do about it. She had to bear the pain for the time being till she got her body back.

But how was she supposed to do that if her brain had not even come up with anything yet? Adriana paused what she was doing as she thought more on it, she couldn't continue living like this! It felt like she was dying and as if it was her last days.

Few minutes, hours and hours passed by before Adriana finally jumped up in excitement but only to land back on the floor as the pain had kicked in again. A sly smile came across her face even as she still held her stomach in pain, maybe because she had finally thought of the only way she could finally cross paths with the girl again and this time, she would make sure she got the answers she was looking for and get her body back.

She stayed on the floor for a while till she felt the pain leave her as she hurried to pick out a cloth to wear from the ones she had recently bought. She refused to wear anything of the girl's again as they all looked ragged to her.

She had already had her bath before so she just put on a black denim short matching it with a black midriff top while she wore high boots that stayed right over her knee. She let her dark hair down as she stared at the mirror in front of her for a while, a satisfied smile showing up on her face. She was sure she could make anyone or anything look good. The first time she had seen the girl's face which was now her,she thought she looked ugly but looking at her right now she realized the girl wasn't that bad, she just needed some retouching and she gave her just that.

Deciding not to waste any more second, Adriana took her small purse as she hurriedly left the room. She noticed the jobless children that always played around the girls house as if not having any other thing to do, instantly leaving what they were doing as soon as they sighted her staring at her with a jaw dropped expression. 

"Wait! Isn't that Adriana? Why does she look so different" one of the kids commented and Adriana wondered how she could hear them as before she didn't have that much of a sharp hearing. "You mean like pretty?" Another one said replying to the first boy that had asked the question but before Adriana could hear more, she had walked farther away from them as she now looked for a cab.

She noticed how she didn't even need to call for a cab as one was quick to stop in front of her, making her roll her eyes. Hypocrites!!. She got into the car telling him where she was headed and he drove off.

It took some time before they got to her destination but once they were finally there, she gave the cab man his money as she now turned to stare at the majestic building of the university she now stood in front of. 

She couldn't even remember the last time she had come to school but she hoped the loser of a girl would like school more than she did as this was her only shot at getting to confront her.

She puffed out some air before walking up to the school gate and knowing the way the school worked, she knew the guard at the school gate would stop her and instead of glaring at him like she normally did she turned to the man with a smile. " How silly I can be. I forgot to drop something off for my brother and now I had to come all the way here to give it to him. It would be a big trouble if I traveled all the way here and still wouldn't be able to give him what he needs. He really needs it"Adriana said almost believably and only she could tell how fake her smile was.

"Hand it over I will give it to him" the security man said, squinting his eyes at her as if not believing her. She cursed at him inwardly, pissed at the way he was giving her a hard time. "I can't, that is an intrusion of privacy mister. I have to give him myself" Adriana said curtly and she watched the man stare at her for a while before finally letting her in. She would have given him a knock on the head if not that she wasn't in the position to do so.

Adriana's heels on the floor were steady but paced as she walked over to where her class was and once she had seen the bitch she was looking for, she breathed out relieved that she had not come here in vain. She didn't want the girl to see her so she quickly left the spot as she looked for a place to hide while they would finish classes.

She waited for some hours and once she had seen that Vanessa was alone, as she had been secretly trailing her all along she didn't miss the opportunity to confront her and the girl was met with an hard glare while staring at Adriana shocked at how she was able to find her here but she was forgetting the life she was living now used to be hers.

"You really thought you could run away from me?" Adriana scoffed in disbelief at the girl's audacity and before Vanessa could react back, she was quick to grab her tightly by her arm as she dragged her to a more hidden place.

"Start talking," Adriana said, finally leaving the girl's arm after being sure it was a quiet enough place where no one would pass by and overhear what they were saying. Vanessa felt her tongue being tied as she couldn't find any words to say, she had been so confident there was no way Adriana would come looking for her since she knew there was no one who would believe her if she were to spew out such nonsense as it was logically impossible but the girl had been crazy enough to come look for her at school.

Adriana narrowed her eyes at her as she was already heating up seeing as she wasn't making any efforts to speak. "You slut! Answer me" Adriana cursed yelling at her a little as she was almost losing her temper.

She saw as the girl's eyes kept darting back and forth trying to look for a way to escape which only made her scoff and while already running out of patience, she went ahead to grab Vanessa's hair pulling it as she dragged her to the floor. "Don't think I will go down easy with you if you decide to act smart. I want my body back so you better start talking on how to do just that or else...…" Adriana trailed off kicking the girl with her feet to have Vanessa cry out in pain due to the hardness of the shoe she wore.

Even with the pain Adriana was inflicting on her, Vanessa refused to talk believing someone would soon walk up in here and come to her aid, it wasn't like the girl was capable of murder. Since she was sure Adriana wouldn't do such a stupid thing as to kill her she decided to endure and put up with everything she was doing to her.

"Won't you talk? Answer me you bitch" Adriana yelled, already getting pissed off at the girl's silence but seeing how she didn't even budge she left the girl's hair leaving her to fall on the floor. She could only grit her teeth in frustration as she used the palm of her hand to hold her already aching head while pacing around in the empty room they were in.

God!! She was tired of this stupidly weak body. 

As a few minutes had already passed by and the girl still wasn't planning on saying even a word Adriana who had already lost it turned to look at her with a sharp glare while Vanessa watched as the girl now removed one of her boots as she pointed the sharp heels at her.

"You don't want to talk right? You just watch as I force the answers out of your mouth…" Vanessa heard Adriana say to have her eyes widen instantly as she watched her walk towards where she was still seated on the floor as she had not made an attempt to get up after Adriana had pushed her there.

Her hands crawled to her side fearing it to be what she was thinking that Adriana wanted to do. Her heart beat sped up instantly Adriana got to her and just as she had raised it up to hit her, a voice from beside them was quick to stop her from making any further progress as the two abruptly turned to look at who had just spoken.
