Anger. The whole day passed with a pissed off Vaughn. Her conscience kept on bothering her about the innocent man she assassinated. It was because the tied up man they interrogated gave up the wrong name to kill.

This is all that stupid man's fault.

The irritated Vaughn makes her way to the varsity club room where she finds their captain. Vaughn sets her irritation aside as she talks to their team captain to speak her agenda.

"Captain," Vaughn calls. "I'm afraid I have to skip practice today," She fiddles with her fingers.

"Oh, Why's that?" Her captain ask as she closes the locker door.

I wanna smash that tied up bastard in the head right now!

"I uh...my family from my father's side came home from a different state today, and my dad wants me home early. Is that okay?" She lies. When only the fact she wanted to get out of there so badly, she wanted to beat the shit out of that tied up bastard.

"Yeah, go ahead. Just don't be missing out practice by next week, cause it'll be last week before preliminaries," Her captain gives her a warm smile.

"I'll see. Thanks, Captain" Vaughn puts her gym bag down to leave it there for their next practice.

Vaughn kicks the door to their warehouse yet again, only to find an empty, pitch black room. Reaching for the switch to give the dark room an emitting light.

"Hey there old man. Missed me?" A shitty smirk was plastered on her face. Noticing her father is no where to be sighted.

"Ah. I've heard you made the headline," The tied up man fakes a laugh

"Correction. The man 'YOU' made me kill, made it to the headline," Yet an odd laughter erupts from Vaughn's throat. "Seems like you dropped the wrong name, buddy!" Vaughn swings her hand only to punch the tied up man at the abdomen.

Another blow on the jaw was taken by the tied up man. "You bastard! It should've been you who's been assassinated, not that innocent man!" Another blow at the bridge of his nose.

"What do you expect? I should just drop the man I work for? Not a chance!" He spits blood.

"You will pay! I swear, you won't like it not one bit!" The last fist was thrown at left jaw this time. "Bastard," Vaughn wipes her blood and sweat.

Anger and Anxiousness clouded Vaughn's mind. She was shaking due to the mixed emotions she feels. Picking up the handgun she felt beneath her fingertips, she grabs it.

With a tight grip she loads the gun and points it at the tied up man. Putting a finger on the trigger, "Guys like you, deserve to feel the pain like how San Diego did," Despite her shaking hands, she still held the gun tightly.

"That's enough, Adalane. This is not the time to kill him. We still need him in finding out who really holds the Gem," Luvox makes an entry with his men behind him.

Vaughn puts the gun down and toss it to the side. "He's not done with me yet," She heads out the warehouse.

Brushing her fingertips on her bruised knuckles, she heaves a deep sigh.

Well I guess, I have to get this treated.

Walking to the nearest convenience store she could find to treat her wounds.

Killing is not a new thing to her. What bothers her is the innocent man she thought was holding the solution to what they we're looking for. Eventually the tied up man dropped the wrong name.

"Stupid!" Vaughn kicks another stray rock from the pavements.

With her thoughts wondering, Vaughn didn't notice where she was going and ended up to bump someone. Causing her face to be in contact with somebody's chest.

"What the hell happened to you?" Jax's voice echoes in her ears, bringing her out of her wandering thoughts.

Vaughn squints her eyes. Oh how she hates to even start a conversation with him. "Why do you care?" as feisty as she can sound.

"Lemme see?" Without even hearing her response, Jax already has Vaughn's hand in his to look at her bruised fist. "Did you get into a fight or something, Adalane?" With furrowed brows Jax asks.

"How many times do I need to tell you to stop calling me by my second name? And leave me alone, I can handle it myself" She pulls her hand away from Jax.

"Nah-uh, You're coming with me," Jax immediately pulls her wrist towards a direction. Not giving Vaughn enough time to protest.

Jax and Vaughn puts a stop at a drug store. He lets go of Vaughn's hand, "Wait here," Jax enters the store, leaving a questioning look on plastered on Vaughn's face.

What the heck does he want now?

Jax found Vaughn silently sitting on one of the benches outside the store, glancing at her bruised fist.

"Here," He sits beside her. Pulling Vaughn's hand yet again only to rest it on his thighs. "What did you even do to get your fists this bruised?"

"Then again, It's non of your business," Vaughn just watched as Jax puts medicine ointments on her bruised fist.

"Psh. It doesn't hurt to give an answer," Jax clicks his tongue as a sign of irritation.

Once finished, Vaughn gets up from the bench. "Thanks. I'll be going now," With her usual blank expression, he thanks him.

"You're welcome," Jax stands up as well, as the both of them went on separate ways.

I'm sorry. I can't tell you.

What will Vaughn do now that she know that she killed the wrong man? Who could be the one holding the Gem?
