Chapter 34 : Warehouse to War-House
Raven’s POV
This was not how this night was supposed to go. Despite my loyalty to my friend, every fiber of my being resents him at this moment. There is also some part of my mind that is not entirely convinced that Blair is safe, even if Lucas’s friend is keeping an eye on her.
I would have trusted Lucas, merely because he has earned it, but taking his word that someone he trusts will keep someone who is precious to me safe is another matter entirely. I didn’t like leaving her, especially since it was to aid Luciano after our little, as he said, ‘discussion’, but I still had allies in the family. Even if I was quarreling with Luciano, my comrades didn’t deserve to suffer.
I can only hope this altercation can be resolved quickly. When it came down to it, if it weren’t for Blair’s assurance that she was going to be fine and that she was all right with me going, I would not have left her side.
