Once I hung up on Eliana, I couldn't shake off that something that was bothering me. It only gets worse. Maybe it's because I called Edoardo here. Stupid idea, yes. But I had a backup.

"To what do I owe this unpleasantness of your existance," he said as he reached me.

"Stop blackmailing Eliana!" I got straight to my point.

He chuckled, spitting venom in his tone. "Are you high?"

"Give the clip to anyone you like," sorry, peaches "and leave her alone!"

"Nope," he deadpan, "Would that be all?"

"What if she finds out about your secrets? I'm sure she wouldn't like—"

"I don't care," he shrugged. "I can live with that. But you," he tilted his head. "You won't win. You won't have her! She is mine!"

I clenched my jaw, trying to control my anger. "She is not yours, Edoardo. You can't control her like this. It's not right."
