"What do you mean by I should do more? I've been working my ass off!" I slammed the table. Edoardo called this "urgent" meeting after I came back home last week. I already explained to Adrian but it was useless. 

"You were away for a whole week! In the meantime, our competitors got the deal we were working for and we lost a 35 million euro deal!"

"You could do it! But you chose to blame me!"

"She is right Edoardo. She took a leave in advance," Leo spoke finally. 

"Really? She left in important time, like always!" his words cut deep.

I could feel my anger rising, but I knew I had to keep my composure. Taking a deep breath, I looked directly into Edoardo's eyes. "I understand that you're upset about losing the deal, but it's unfair to place all the blame on me. We're a team, Edoardo. We win together and we lose together."
