I open my eyes, groaning as pain racks my body. I blink to clear my vision and I purse my lips, when I recall the unpleasant series of events that had happened here in the coven room. I try to move my hands but realize that Rohanne had bound my hands with magic. I try to get up from the chair I'm sitting on but I don't succeed.
"She spelled the chair too" Valdrin croaks from the far end of the room where he's bound to a chair just like me.
I clench my jaw and look around. I can't see her or her men anywhere around the room yet, but I just know that I need to find a way out of this mess before things take a worse turn.
My head shoots up at the sound of Alanna's groan from across the room. She blinks when she finally awakens. "Z, are you okay? You look awfully pale" she whispers and I sigh, lowering my gaze. This is one of the things I've always tried to avoid. Now she's been dragged into my own mess. "Are you okay?" I ask her and she blinks.
