EMILY'S STANDPOINT 

The drive back home with Royston was quiet with a calm music playing in the car. 

From time to time he kept glancing at me but I feigned ignorance and just focused on watching the street lights we drove past and how they illuminated everywhere. 

It was my little way of keeping my mind off Alexander. I was still a bit pissed at him for lashing out at me at the boutique but after meeting his family, a part of me finally understands why he is the way he is. 

Although, I would never say this to his face but his father was a controlling asshole with eyes that held no feelings. It was hard to believe that Alexander was his son because his eyes held no warmth towards him or anyone else. His eyes were dead cold and held nothing but animosity in them.
