Chapter 38: Marriage Bliss
(Alexander’s POV)
I opened my eyes when I heard breathing next to me and when I looked over to my side I realized who was laying next to me. I turned over to look at my beautiful girlfriend, smiling to myself and pulling her close to me. I couldn’t believe that she was here with me right now, I wanted to pinch myself just to make sure that it wasn’t a dream.
I brushed a strand of hair out of her face and her eyes fluttered open, “Hi,” she said, her voice slightly husky.
I looked at her smiling, “Morning, how did you sleep?”
She sighed, “Better than I did when we were at the motel.”
“Maybe because when we were at the motel I made sure that I kept you up all night so that you wouldn’t be able to walk the next morning.”
She laughed, a sound that I was coming to love, “Yeah, well you succeeded in doing that. The reason I’m still in bed right now is that I’m afraid that when I get up I still won’t be able to walk.”
