"Deliora…?" Kali muttered as she stared at the giant humanoid inside of the iced shell.
Suddenly, she laughed. "Another one of Zeref's creations has been killed." Kali walked over to touch the ice. "And killed by a friend of mine.Ur, huh? I guess you were pretty strong after all."
While Kali was staring at the frozen figure, footsteps started to become louder and louder as well as their talking.
"Toby, have you been soaking in moon drip? You have ears and stuff."
"No! These are decorations! Get it through your head!"
'Moon drip?' Kali thought as she turned into the direction where the voices were coming from.
There was no point in hiding since she doubted that they could even leave a scratch on her. Not even Deliora who was known as the demon of destruction could.
"I was just teasing-" the figure with blue hair stopped talking when he spotted Kali who was looking at them. "Who are you?"
"Yeah! Who are you?!" the figure known as Toby asked.
"I'm just someone who's passing through." Kali replied. "I'm here to admire this art."
"You call this art?!" the blue haired guy exclaimed. "This was once the demon of destruction who ruined countless lives! This is a masterpiece! How could you only call it art?"
"I call it art because Deliora was nowhere near a masterpiece. Despite being created by Zeref, he was killed by a wizard. Isn't that funny?" Kali asked.
Suddenly, there was another pair of footsteps coming towards them. This time, it was a girl with pink hair tied into two twin ponytails.
"Yuka. Toby. I have sad news." the girl said. She didn't notice Kali's presence. "Angelica has disappeared."
"Sherry. It was just a dumb rat! Don't give it such a deluxe name!" Toby said.
"Angelica is not a rat. She is a hunter that races through the darkness and…love!" Sherry said.
"You're quite weird." Kali stated.
"No, I'm not!" Sherry protested before turning back. "Wait, who even are you?!"
"No one, I'm simply a passerby who's admiring the art created by an old friend of mine." Kali replied.
"And old friend…? Nevermind that, since you've seen Deliora. We'll have to put you to eternal sleep which means…love!"
"You mean death?!" Toby shouted from behind.
Now that Kali thought about it, the trio was quite weird. With the difference in their personalities, no one would believe that they were a team.
"So, can I leave? I still have other things to do." Kali said as she turned back towards the exit. However, she was surrounded by all three. "It seems when you guys are fighting, you're more in sync."
"Well, we're on the same team and the same goal."
"And that's eternally putting you to… love!"
"You mean sleep?!"
Suddenly, Toby appeared in front of her with his claws longer than before. Kali quickly sidestepped to avoid the sharp claws that were being swung at her.
"You're fast." Kali said before sending Toby flying into the rocks. "But not fast enough."
Next was Sherry, however, she was nowhere to be seen. Kali was about to move onto Yuka until a giant rock with a face, two arms, and a pair of legs started charging at her.
"Alive Magic? No, it couldn't be." Kali muttered as she dodged one of the rock's punches. "Then, Doll Magic."
With a single punch to the rock, it crumbled revealing Sherry's original body.
"Yuka!" Sherry called out. "I thought you were using your Anti-Magic!"
"I am!' Yuka replied. "But it doesn't seem to be working!"
"Do you think I'm using magic?" Kali asked.
"Of course!" Sherry instantly replied. "How could someone dodge Toby's attack and even send him flying without using magic? Impossible! Moreover, you were able to break my work with your fists. Are you using Enhancement Magic?"
"I'm surprised that you know of Enhancement Magic, but unfortunately, I'm just using pure strength." Kali said as she glanced over at Yuka. "That's why his Anti-Magic isn't working on me."
When Toby was about to charge at Kali again, Yuka yelled at him.
"Stop! Stay back! She's stronger than we thought, be careful." Yuka said to them. Finally, they were starting to become cautious of Kali.
"You're not just a passerby aren't you? You're a wizard." Sherry said with a sharp gaze.
Kali simply smiled. "And what if I am? Do you three perhaps think you could take me down?"
"Even if we can't, we must. We cannot let down the Cold Emperor because of..love!"
"Stop saying that!"
Kali thought of anyone named Cold Emperor, however, no one came to mind. She figured that person was someone she had never met before and was interested in meeting them.
Kali sighed. "Well, if you're really set on defeating me. Then I'll have to fight back, get ready!"
"Yuka! Anti-Magic!"
"I'm on it!"
Kali shook her head and sighed. "You guys never learn do you."
In an instant, Kali disappeared from her spot and reappeared in front of Yuka who was using his Anti-Magic barrier. But it was useless since Kali was using pure strength, there was no magic involved.
Kali smirked as she sent a punch towards Yuka's stomach. "Didn't I tell you? I'm not using magic."
Sherry was shocked when Kali's fist passed through Yuka's Anti-Magic shield as if it was nothing. Now, she truly believed that Kali didn't use magic and was someone incredibly strong.
Kali didn't notice Toby until she felt something grabbing her arm. Suddenly, green energy surrounded them as it shocked only Toby.
"What're you trying to do?" Kali asked in confusion. "I thought you were going to attack me, but nevermind."
In an instant, Toby was once again kicked in the other direction. Finally, it was Sherry's turn to go down.
"W-wait! I have an offer!" Sherry cried out.
Kali tilted her head in confusion. "What is there that you have to offer? I don't think I need information."
"Not information…but love!" Sherry exclaimed as she formed the shape of a heart with her hand.
Kali stared at Sherry blankly. "No, I'd rather not learn about love. Those types of things are too complicated."
"Then I'll teach you about lo-" Before Sherry could continue, Kali cut her off. "No thanks, and maybe it's better if you go to sleep."
With a chop to Sherry's neck, she went limp in Kali's arms as Kali laid Sherry down on the floor. Kali took a glance at Yuka and Toby, they weren't in any shape to fight or wake up at all.
"Then, it seems I can finally analyze the situation." Kali said as she walked towards Deliora.
Placing her palm on the ice, she closed her eyes, and felt Deliora. After a few seconds, Kali reopened her eyes.
"So with the Moon Drip, they're trying to revive Deliora. But what they don't understand is that Deliora has been long dead, even if they do manage to revive him, he'll only be conscious for a few seconds. Now then, I only have to wait until the moon comes out."
As Kali waited for night to come, she thought about what the others were doing. Well, Kali was sure that they were in the village causing trouble which is never good.
Though, it doesn't feel bad to have a few companions on a mission. Compared to when she was roaming the dark continent "Zaplath" alone, this was nothing.
She couldn't help but chuckle as she reminisced about those times. Although she had to go through Calamity Class monsters, she was grateful for it because it helped her get stronger.
And mostly because it made things more interesting.
"Now then, the moon should be here soon."
