Fairy 59: Zack vs SS-Class Criminal IV

However, even if Zack managed to block the icy hammer. But the coldness from its icy aura, did not. Lucky enough, Zack just uses Ice Magic, to increased his resists against the coldness of the icy hammer and withstand the icy aura with his body and magic.

Seeing his attack failed, Damon unsummoned the giant icy hammer, that uses a lot of magical power to withstand its icy aura, that capable of freezing anyone it touches. And resummoned his twin lightning katanas, and slashed them at Zack.

This time around, Zack didn't bother parrying those swords, that admits lightning from its body. Nor did he dodge the incoming slashes towards him, instead, Zack used his own Strengthening Magic, that he barely uses, since it so flawed.

To increased his Agility Stat to then next tier, and came in front of Damon, who became shocked, seeing the sudden burst of speed. And even furthermore, when Zack's right hand begin to vibrated rapidly, as he punched it towards Damon's face.

However, Damon effortless dodged the vibrating fist, by tilting his head, but the moment he did dodged, Damon eyes widen behind his mask, when he saw a smile on Zack's face.

In the first place, the reckless punch just now, wasn't never meant to harm of defeat Damon. But a faint, that meant to distract Damon for a single second. Before Zack used his Quake Magic (Gura Gura no Mi) one more time, and instead of using Nightfall, he used his own fist.

Sonic Blast, a supersonic attack, admitted not from the blade of the sword, but his own fist, blasted right before the red sinister armoured Damon, who flew into the air, along with a crack in his dark red armour.

Damon whose been sent flying, quickly regain himself within the air, and unsummoned his twin lightning katanas, and summoned a sword like hock end, that attached with a chain, as he throws the sword, that hocked onto a nearby tree, pulling himself towards a broken tree, and safety land on the ground.

"Oh my… how clueless was I? To fall for the simplest of tricks, a faint of all things. But I must say that attack, what was it? Annihilation something you shouted out. What kind of magic is that?" Damon asked, holding his belly, that still hurts, from being hit by Sonic Blast.

Zack didn't answer at first, as he felt his whole body throbbing with pain. Worst of, is his right arm, that used Annihilation Blast. Not only there are burnt marks, but there even bruises from the recoil of also using that spell.

If it wasn't for the fact, Zack's body is as hard as steel itself. And the layer of protection from Gravity Magic, he casted on himself, when he used Annihilation Blast. Without a doubt, there be a high chance Zack will be killed by his own magic.

His Quake Magic, which is this world version of Gura Gura no Mi Devil Fruit Power. Does make him immune from all kinds of vibration types of attacks. But Annihilation isn't just vibrations, but the chain reactions of using the rippling vibrations in a certain way.

Vibrating onto a smaller level, overheating the vibrating speed of rippling, until the point the point of vibrations that been rippling so fast, they overheat themselves, and cause an explosion chain of reaction. That is the Annihilation Series, the sets of spells created by that chain reaction from his Quake Magic.

Because of this, Zack's is currently weaker physical he normally he is. He is about 30% weaker then normal, and if he doesn't heal his internal injuries any time soon. He will become weaker he already is.

Not to mention, Annihilation Blast, used up a lot of Ethernano inside his body, making his magical power less then half. Never mind if his body could handle another recoil from another Annihilation Blast. He doesn't even have enough magic, to form another attack of that level of power.

"It's Quake Magic." Zack simply told the demon masked man before him. He has no problem telling others what kind of magic God given to him. Everyone at Fairy Tail already knows it is Quake Magic, that Zack uses as main magic system, besides Gravity Magic.

However, when Damon heard the name of Zack's magic, that caused everything around them to become this wasteland. He doesn't know if he should laugh, for such a joke, or be upset.

After all, everyone knows, Quake Magic (Not Gura Gura no Mi, but real Quake Magic) is just a magic sub-system from Earth Magic system. It is the kind of magic, that sends earthquakes to the earth, vibrating the ground, and even cracking the earth apart.

But this so-called Quake Magic, didn't only shaken the earth, it even shaken the atmosphere, his sword, and even his own body. Almost as if, he turned reality around him, besides other living creatures, into a realm of vibrations itself. Causing mass destruction in its wake.

That isn't the Quake Magic Damon nor everyone in this world knew of. Quake Magic never been so dangerous, that he could be seen as a catastrophe in itself. After all, Gura Gura no Mi, is a magic, form a power, that is capable of destroying the world, isn't just for show.

Of course, neither Zack or Damon knew that. And just looked at each other, before Damon, this SS-Class Criminal, with SSS-Class stats, laughed out loud, startling Zack into a battle stance, knowing this madman, seems to attack him, right after he laughs like a madman like this.

However, this time, Damon didn't. And just looked at Zack.

"I see, I see, everyone has secrets. Shame, that shield cost a lot… you know? It going to be a pain to get replacement~ To think a monster like you, is here… shame, truly a shame, but a promise is a promise." Damon went with a pitiful voice, like he going to say goodbye to his lover, even if he was trying to kill this so-called lover, not long ago.

"Promise…?" Zack asked, still not lowing his guard, and even had Nightfall floated to his hands, and into a stance with the sword in both hands.

"That sword… is really a good sword. Too bad, I have to wait until we meet again, to get it. Oh, the promise, don't you remember our little game? Land an attack, I let you and that girl go." Damon simply went, which made Zack's eyes widen, not once, did he think this masked man was serious about that promise he made.

"You really going to let us go…?" Zack asked, not believing in this madman.

"In the first place, we just bored, that is why, we took on the job to kidnap the little princess. Not to mention, the noble that hired us… had something I wanted. Now I got it, along with the advanced payment. It doesn't matter, if this mission fails or not, because it already had.

You might not know this, there no horror between assassins, maybe between thieves, but not assassins, because horror can get you killed. And because our client already got caught by the knights of Fiore. There is no real reason, besides a ransom, to keep the princess." Damon honestly went with a sigh. 

"So… you really letting us ago like that?" Zack still cannot believe the man, that was dead on serious, trying to kill him. But the man, Damon didn't bother with the little things, and instead, looked towards the way the Shadow Wizard left.

"If you don't hurry boy, the little princess might experience something nasty." Damon went.

"Nasty??" Zack asked, while tilting his head in confusion.

"That's right, that guy, whose uses Shadow Magic, he may seem like the quiet type… but he is the kind of guy, that can kill a child without blinking his eyes. And he not knows the meaning to be gentle and tender… if you do not hurry to save the little princess, she might experience something, that might become a trauma in life, you know~? But that all from little old me… until we meet again… boy with the monstrous magic."

When Damon said that he leaped into the air, and completely disappeared from Zack's sight.

The moment, Zack sensed Damon has left completely the strong desire to rest attacked Zack. But Zack bitten his lips, to forcedly withheld the desires to rest his aching body.

And as fast he is capable of, Zack rushed towards the cave, where he left Hisui from. As he completely overlooks the fact, his body is still suffering from the backlash of the recoil from using the Annihilation Blast.

While all that were happening in the forest. In the cave, that Zack left Hisui. The little girl in question, looked at the empty space before her, before she tiredly yawned. But at the same time, slapped her cheeks, trying to stay awake.

"I hope Sir Zack... is fine… right? No, I shouldn't worry about him…. in moments like this, I must have faith." Hisui told herself.

Even if she is worried about Zack, and his safety. Hisui tried to think positively, and believed that the stranger she just met, who recklessly stood up for her, will be alright. And secretly pray for his safe return.

Of course, as the child she is. No matter how mature this 11-year-old kid is. She cannot help the tiredness washing all over her. Only her worries, and fears that Zack might be harmed because her, kept her awake. Not to mention, it also kinda of scary being alone in this cave.

But as a child of royalty, someone who expected to lead Fiore as their Queen one day. Hisui held her childish desires away from her heart, as well her emotions of uneasiness and fears to the bottom of her heart. And pray and pray for Zack's will return anytime sooner.

Not long after she steeled her nervous self. Hisui's ears begin to hear footsteps heading her way. Knowing that Zack has finally return back. Hisui with an excited expression. Stood up from the ground, where she was siting. And head towards the source of the footsteps, however, moments later, Hisui's happy expression soon turned to fear, when the one that came out of the darkness before her.

Wasn't Zack Smasher, the stranger that helped her, and got involved in her problem selfless at that. But one of her chasers, the Shadow Wizard, who emotionless locked eyes with the frighten Hisui.

Hisui felt her knees weakening, and the desire to run away. But she is no fool, each and every of these nine wizards that kidnapped her, how many times stronger. In truth, she doesn't know how come she able to escape, or it was Damon with his strange personality, that made sure she could run away in the beginning.

'Could it be… Sir Zack… got defeated…?' Guilt washed over Hisui, guilt of getting someone else involved in her troubles, who isn't related to her, or her troubles. And now, because of her careless moment of entrusting someone to save her. That very person is now dead because of her.

Even if it natural for a royal to be protected by their subjects. It still too much, for the young and inexperienced princess. Who looked at the emotionless eyes of the Shadow Wizard before her.

"You got two options… get over here willingly, or I will force you to follow me… So, which one?" Went the Wizard of Shadows, as the darkness behind him, begin to move. As he stonily locked eyes with the little princess before him.

Just a heads up. Some kind of bug is lurking around my household. And I already got it. But the time when I wrote/rewritten this chapter/fairy, I am only at the early stages. So don't be surprised, to see me taking some time off, if it becomes too unbearable.

Anyway, I will begin to rewrite the first vol.1 of my Highschool DxD fanfic very soon. I remember, many people say, my first chapter, feels like it is written by a machine. So, I will be reviewing DxD starting next month, I should had begun this month, but you know, too busy with life, and this fanfic.

There is total eight more chapters and two side chapters left for vol.2 of this fanfic. I don't mean there total ten chapters waiting, mind you. But eight original chapters waiting to be rewritten and proofread by this poor sucker, who not good when it comes to grammar.

Next chapter is another author note. But this time around, it is a in detail list of Zack's powers and moves. Serves as a reminder to me, to remember his powers, and a seek peek of Zack Smasher's powers, because of that, it will be counted as a spoiler, so skip it, if you want. 

And I been thinking about the cover of this fanfic, and my other fanfic as well. Honestly, I don't know where to begin, to look for a custom-made cover.

I can get countless covers by using images already done. But I don't want to run into any copyright laws. Since this a fanfic, not an original work. I think using already made image or images suitable.

But here another problem, I don't want to overlap with other people's covers. My best bet is to look for an image of Mirajane, since she is the main heroine in Vol.1, and Vottes had to be custom made, since she is an Original Character herself. So, that's a no-no.

Of course, there is an option of drawing them myself. But here the thing, I can draw if it on paper… but a tablet, I can't… I just can't, and it been over two years, since I last drawn something, so I am rusty.

Anyway, enough with that. And I see you all again when I can.

Just another heads up, if I do begin rewriting the first vol of 'Highschool DxD: The Monstrosity of the Abyss' the three chapters a week on this fanfic had to be either two or once a week, with one chapter of 'Highschool DxD: The Monstrosity of the Abyss' rewritten a week.

I think it about time, I return back to my second fanfic, where I didn't f*cked up as much, unlike this fanfic. Just hope, I can duel handle two fanfics at once.
