Chapter 50: The forbidden fruit
It had been three days since Viv's mom had gone missing. In the aftermath, and sleepless nights since then, they had little to show for her whereabouts. Sol hated himself for looking forward to his last 'chore' for the day, the one thing he actually wanted to do. After the long searches, the training, the reading – he just wanted one thing. Yet it felt wrong to even think of enjoying himself, even a little bit, with someone's family member missing. He had to go and check on Abe, though. It was practically part of his job now, right?
