Battle in the Forest of Souls
The night air crackled with tension as Will, Midori, and the Salamander faced the relentless onslaught of the Goblin general and its small battalion. The goblins' grotesque forms filled the clearing, their eyes gleaming with malevolence.
Midori, the Apothecary, was quick to act. Her slender fingers danced nimbly as she reached for her poison vials and syringes. With calculated precision, she launched poisoned darts and needles into the goblin ranks, causing some to convulse and fall. She was skilled in the art of crafting toxins that brought agony but rarely death, her merciful intent in stark contrast to the goblins' ruthlessness.
As the battle raged on, Will noticed something troubling. Midori's face contorted oddly, her eyes reflecting a strange mixture of determination and vulnerability. It was as if she was slowly losing herself in the frenzy of the fight.
He saw her inject herself with a mysterious substance, her movements becoming erratic, her strikes fueled by a substance that seemed to enhance her speed but also cloud her judgment. Will's concern deepened; he feared that Midori was sacrificing her well-being.
Just as a goblin lunged at Will with a makeshift axe, he barely managed to evade the deadly blow. His near brush with death sent a jolt of panic through him. The Salamander's voice resounded in his mind, urging him to continue playing his violin. The pact power was at risk, and Will needed to maintain the connection with the Salamander.
With adrenaline pumping through his veins, Will played an intense and aggressive song on his violin. The Salamander, now imbued with even greater power, cut down goblin after goblin with fiery fury.

"YOU HUMIES THINK YOU CAN INVADE HOME, THE GREAT FOREST OF SOULS DRAHUL!, WE DEVOUR YOU!"
The Goblin general, a hulking figure, picked up a gigantic double-sided axe, its eyes filled with fierce determination. With each swing of the massive weapon, it unleashed devastation upon its foes. Midori fought valiantly, her agility and poisoned darts inflicting harm, but the Goblin general's brute strength made him a formidable adversary.
In the chaos of battle, a sudden blow from the Goblin general struck Midori on the legs and head, causing her to collapse, fall unconscious, unable to fight. Will's heart clenched as he witnessed her fall. She had put herself on the line to protect the forest and its secrets, and the price had been her own well-being.
The Salamander, now fighting with an unyielding fury, clawed at the Goblin general, tearing through its defenses. The battle raged on, and it was a fierce, unforgiving struggle between the guardian of the forest and the invader.
With a final, resounding clash of claws and fire, the Salamander emerged victorious, the Goblin general falling lifeless to the forest floor.
As the dust settled and the goblin battalion retreated in disarray, Will rushed to Midori's side. She lay unconscious, her form battered and bloodied. Her sacrifice for the forest had come at a great cost.
Will attempted to stem the bleeding, trying to rouse her from her slumber. The Fae, which had bestowed its powers upon him, now demanded that he protect, not only his home Forest but also the brave soul who had fought so valiantly by his side.
