Puppy trying to roar.

Yuna was engrossed in taking down the center ornaments of each table when Minae broke her concentration by clapping and sneaking up on her.

"You are just too awesome!" Minae praised Yuna enthusiastically, clapp;0ng her hands and cheering so loudly that it caught the attention of everyone working around them.

Yuna had known Minae for nearly three years now, and she considered her a friend. When she first moved to this area three years ago, she didn't know anyone, and Minae was the first person to break through her guarded exterior. Minae was sweet, bubbly, and silly, and after three chance meetings, they exchanged numbers and became friends. Yuna was grateful for meeting Minae because she had helped her establish a life in this place. Minae had assisted her in finding a job and served as her inspiration to live a carefree and simple life – to laugh recklessly, love unguardedly, and just be happy without worrying about her past creeping in.

Yuna acted nonchalant, pretending not to know what Minae was talking about. Every time she managed to sneak in undetected, Minae made it a point to congratulate her, and it was these simple gestures that mattered.

"You are really something, friend," Minae continued, listing Yuna's daring exploits. "Only you can do such. Oh my, I'm impressed." She applauded even louder, while Yuna pretended to curtsey. Minae mimicked holding a microphone and placed it near Yuna, asking her, "What do you have to say for yourself?"

Yuna giggled innocently and pretended to ponder the question deeply before replying, "I'd like to thank my trusted ally, Minae, for always filling in for me."

Minae's smile deepened, and she responded, "Oh yeah, right, me! I wonder what you would do without me." They playfully egged each other on until their conversation shifted to Suzy, the event planner. They discussed how Suzy had been extremely angry today due to a dessert mishap, and she was now stressed about finding a suitable alternative that would still please the bride.

Minae sighed dramatically and then noticed a sad expression on her face. "Oh, I wonder how Joon-i is holding up. He must be having a hard time."

Josh was Minae's crush and the primary reason why she had taken this job. She wanted to be close to Josh, who worked as a cook and catered for Suzy's events.

"I hope he could just let me give him a hug after the yelling he had to endure today," Minae said, air-hugging herself as if imagining she was giving Joon a comforting embrace.

Minae's actions were part of her ongoing campaign to capture Joon's attention. She had tried nearly everything, but so far, her efforts had been in vain. She hoped that by simply being around him and spending time together, Joon might eventually change his mind about her.

"She might come to you next, so guard's up. She's on a rampage today," Minae warned Yuna about Suzy's mood.

Suzy had a strained relationship with Yuna, and Yuna was unaware of the reasons behind it. Nevertheless, even though Suzy frequently lost her patience with Yuna, she knew that Suzy's occasional missteps were harmless and often found her frustration more amusing than anything else, like a puppy trying to roar.
