Chapter 11 - First Dungeon

Mann, that was a disaster. I mean, I knew the main characters were going to be strong but shit.

She didn't even go all out and even had her rank suppressed, yet she still whooped me in the ass.

While feeling frustrated, I slashed at the training dummy with full force.

I was currently in the training center. Classes for the day had ended, so I came here to train.

I had finally perfected my aura control, so I was working on my swordsman ship.

After the class, Leo came to meet me at the infirmary, and well pointed out the obvious.

My swordsmanship needed improvement. I was just like, no shit Sherlock.

Of course I didn't say it to his face but you understand where I'm getting at right?

And so here I am. Besides after today's match, one thing became apparent aside my bad swordsmanship.

My combat ability and experience. Which is why I am entering a dungeon by Friday.

Dungeons are like a doorway to a different dimension where monsters live.

Dungeons appeared in the year 30AC, twenty years before the second cataclysm occurred.

Anyway the dungeon I would be entering was an (F) ranked one, which meant the boss would be (E-) rank at most.

Now, I know you're probably thinking it's too early for me to start going into dungeons, but I had another reason for going.

Inside the dungeon was where I would find the art I was looking for.

Sooo, I have to go. But first I should call it a night. I thought and packed up my things.

***********

Inside a luxurious styled room in the python dorm, a silver haired girl was sitting on her bed seemingly preparing to go to sleep.

As she was about to lay down and sleep, she looked at the picture on top of her desk.

The picture was of a family of four. Almost all four of them had silver hair.

It was her and her family. Her father, mother, and grandmother. Looking at the picture, her expression turned serious and she clenched her fist tightly.

As the day everything was taken away from her played over and over again in her mind.

"Damn Elves. I'll kill you all. I promise that".

She grit her teeth as she spoke.

After that, she dropped the picture back on the table and went to bed.

***********

Walking down the busy streets of Dallas City, I once again couldn't help admiring the city.

It was beautiful to say the least. Too bad this was going to become a war zone soon.

Once the barrier surrounding earth dissipates, the elves, demons, beastkin and the others would descend on the human race, thereby starting the third cataclysm.

Haaa. Anyway currently I was headed towards the mountain regions close to Dallas City.

Hidden inside the mountain was the dungeon containing the ART OF CREATION.

I was currently carrying a bagpack containing supplies that would last me at least a week.

"Good day sir. Please how may I help you".

A pleasant voice snapped me out of my soliloquy. It would seem that while I was lost in thought, I had gotten to the station.

"Please one ticket to outskirts". I replied with a polite smile on my face.

"Very well".

The attendant replied and handed me my ticket. And so I headed towards the train.

Huuuu. I breathed out. Okay, my first adventure in this world, let's see how it goes.

With that I headed inside the train.

******

Whoaaa.

You're probably wondering why I'm acting like this. Well right now I'm in front of the dungeon. And it is beautiful. Well the entrance is.

Anyway I finally found it after about an hour of searching. Mann this mountain range is huge.

Okay, better make sure everything's here. Weapons, check. Food, check. Water, check. Spare clothes, check also.

Okay I think I'm good to go. With that thought, I stepped inside my first dungeon.

My surroundings instantly blurred and then changed. As soon I stepped out through the other side, I immediately started throwing up.

Haaa. I see the side effects of using a portal are the same as in the novel. When I felt my stomach no longer churn, I stood up and looked around.

The dungeon I was currently in was called the 'The King's Palace' and truly it was. The MC comes here later during the story and obtains the divine art.

Not this time. Although this art becomes a major part of the MC's strength in the future, I had to take it. After all I needed some way of protecting myself and just learning aura control and even advanced swordsmanship wouldn't cut it.

Not in this world.

Anyway, looking ahead I saw a gigantic structure up ahead. It was basically a sword like structure but in a way looked like a palace.

Okay, the ART OF CREATION is in there, just gotta get it out.

*Growl*

I heard a growl come from up ahead. Oh right, this place is still a dungeon no matter the magnificent structures here.

I remember that Leon had to fight quite a lot of beasts in this place in the novel.

Fine. Thinking so, I drew my sword from it's sheath and started channeling my aura.

And focused some on my eyes so I could see a farther distance than possible. I was able to see a creature in the far distance.

And the creature was an (F-) rank wolf. Alright, time to gain some combat experience.
