CHAPTER 496: None Of Your Goddamn Business

The Braingorge Rakshas were a type of soft-bodied sea creature that survived by feeding on the brains of humans and animals. They gained access to the brain by drilling through the eyes, nostrils or ears of their prey.

They only appeared in the deepest parts of the oceans. Their bodies, made of soft, flexible tissue, could rejoin quickly, even if they were cut into several pieces. Apart from setting them ablaze in a raging fire, most attacks had little effect on them. Since they lived in the depths of the ocean, it was not an easy task for an average person to injure them by setting them on fire.

To Han Shuo's knowledge, this rare creature known as the Braingorge Rakshas had many uses. When used as medicine, it could be refined into a cognitive enhancing pill, severed limbs could be reattached when applied externally. What's more, through the use of demonic arts and a few special materials, it could even be refined into a demonic weapon capable of shattering any creature's brain with mere sound waves.

Of course, its most miraculous use was its ability to restore the brainpower of humans and beasts. Han Shuo suspected that the Braingorge Rakshas' consumption of other creatures' brains imbued their flesh with wonderful healing properties for the human brain. For a demonic art practitioner like Han Shuo, by using the amazing properties of a Braingorge Rakshas' body, Han Shuo could completely construct a brain that was a carbon copy of his own. With this, even if his head was shattered in certain great battles, as long as his consciousness was not dispersed, he could use the brain refined by Braingorge Rakshas to take its place and still live free and unfettered as before.

In his quest to reconstruct a new physical body for Gilbert, Han Shuo's biggest headache was reforging the brain. Braingorge Rakshas were classified as the kind of rare, precious creatures that could only be encountered by chance. Han Shuo had never expected to ever obtain a Braingorge Rakshas. In fact, he had planned to use other materials instead to structure Gilbert's new brain. To his surprise, he managed to see such a valuable item at the auction.

It was for all these reasons that Han Shuo was so excited when the auctioneer shrieked as he explained the wonderful uses of the Braingorge Rakshas, that he no longer cared about Lilian's insistence on the Viride Leaf.

"Brain-eating beast. Starting price 10,000 gold coins. To the highest bidder!" After a round of shouting, the auctioneer announced the starting bid in a way that stirred up the audience.

There really were quite a few people interested in the item. Immediately after the auctioneer's shout, rows of flashing red lights lit up from the second and third floors as people activated their bidding devices as if their lives depended on it. Perhaps unable to contain their excitement, the sounds of people gasping for breath could even be heard from some of the VIP rooms. Apparently, there were some who were completely absorbed by this auction item.

"The son of the Minister of Finance and the grandson of the Minister of Defence, oh yes, and the daughter of the Imperial Chief Magus, seemed to be somewhat mentally challenged!" Sophie lamented in a low voice, as if mourning those pitiful people.

No wonder! Han Shuo thought to himself. He immediately understood that today would be another brutal battle. He couldn't help but focus his attention on the Braingorge Rakshas on the stage as he listened to the ever-increasing rating, waiting for the right time to jump in.

Suddenly, Han Shuo had a feeling in his gut that something was wrong. This feeling did not come from the six-horned tribal king of the Soul Race who was slowly approaching. Han Shuo carefully felt for a moment and suddenly realised that the temperature of the entire auction house had unconsciously slowly dropped by a few degrees.

Han Shuo's eyebrows furrowed, and in a split second, he realized. Immediately, he spread his consciousness far and wide like a spider web, spreading outwards bit by bit with himself at the centre. In the entire region, not the slightest movement could escape Han Shuo's perception.

The Water Divine Magus Tiana, a demigod dressed in a white magical robe from head to toe, appeared on the roof of a building outside the auction house at an unknown time. She wore a solemn expression and had water mists swirling around her. Her long silver hair fluttered in the wind. With a magical staff in her hand and her eyes closed, she was softly chanting some sort of magical spell.

Over at the entrance to the auction house, Ice Celestial Corey stood with his sword in his hand, looking grave and stern. His head was raised and he was looking at Snow Celestial Tiana who was standing on top of the auction house. They seemed to be communicating about something without using sound.

The Shrine of Ice Celestial Corey and Snow Celestial Tiana, two demigods and the most powerful beings in the Kasi Empire, had suddenly gathered at the auction house. What this meant was quite obvious - his trail had been exposed!

Having fought countless battles over the years, Han Shuo had experienced all kinds of situations. Even though things had come to this, he didn't show any signs of anxiety. In fact, he had a rather quiet and calm smile on his face. He turned his head and looked deep into Sophie's eyes and said in a voice so low that only she could hear, "Sophie, leave me now. Find a washroom and restore your original appearance!"

"Why?" Sophie was a little confused.

"If you trust me, do as I say. Otherwise, you will only cause me trouble!" Han Shuo knew that Sophie was not someone who would just stand by and watch her friend get into trouble. If he told her that he would only cause her problems instead, Sophie would never go for it.

But Han Shuo had underestimated Sophie's intelligence. "Is your enemy here?" She just stared blankly for a moment before realising what was going on and began to scout in all directions, as if to help Han Shuo track down his enemies.

Sighing to himself, Han Shuo realised that it would not be easy to get Sophie to leave unless he used some radical means.

While the audience was still persistently and extravagantly bidding up the price of the Braingorge Rakshas, Han Shuo, who had been sitting silently the whole time, suddenly stood up.

"Hey! Friend of Number 83, you have yet to show your hand today! Haha, are you going to make a move now?" When the auctioneer saw Han Shuo suddenly stand up, he thought that Han Shuo couldn't resist anymore and would finally make a move, so he excitedly shouted.

The auctioneer had witnessed Han Shuo's courage himself just two days ago. He had presided over many of the Triennial Auctions in the past, and he had rarely encountered characters who would raise the price by 50,000 gold coins with each bid. So when Han Shuo reappeared today, the auctioneer had been secretly watching Han Shuo closely. In fact, he was the first person to notice Han Shuo standing up, and he immediately announced it in his unmistakably sharp voice.

"That's right! I'm going to make a move!" Han Shuo revealed a rather sinister smile.

The auctioneer responded with a belly laugh. As he was about to add a few words to liven up the atmosphere, his face suddenly stiffened. He looked at Han Shuo in confusion and said, "Wait, what are you doing?"

As everyone watched, with a speed that was completely disproportionate to his body, Han Shuo streaked across the hall and landed on the stage like lightning. Before anyone could react, the Braingorge Rakshas stored in its special container was already in Han Shuo's hand. They watched as Han Shuo fiddled with it for a while, nodded and simply threw it into his own space ring. It was as if the Braingorge Rakshas was something in his house that had fallen off, and he was just casually picking it up. His actions seemed inexplicably smooth and natural.

"This is not according to the rules! This is absolutely against the rules!" Suddenly there were loud shouts from the second and third floors. Those whose sons or grandsons had been institutionalised for insanity began to babble and make noise as if they themselves were on their way to the asylum.

"How many gold coins is it?" Han Shuo asked the auctioneer with a fantastic smile on his face while being watched by everyone on and off the stage.

"Friend, even if you're rolling in gold coins, it's still inappropriate to do what you're doing, don't you think?" Braque stood by the window on the third floor. Although his face was obviously somewhat displeased, his manner of speaking could still be described as restrained, all thanks to his many years of training in the etiquette of nobility.

Han Shuo raised his head to look at Braque on the third floor. This arrogance of Braque's made Han Shuo very irritated. In response, Han Shuo stuck out his 'big belly', revealed a goofy smile, and rudely said to Braque, "None of your goddamn business!"

The audience went wild!

Compared to the bold and financially unconstrained way Han Shuo bid last time, the commotion he caused this time was far more intense. A large portion of the audience stared at Han Shuo foolishly, having absolutely no idea how this seemingly simple-minded fat man could behave in such a reckless manner.

From the audience, Sophie watched Han Shuo behave in such a deviant and unreasonable manner, she simply didn't know what to do. She looked at Braque's unsightly face in utter disbelief and turned her gaze to the insufferably arrogant Han Shuo. At that moment, Sophie was both pleased and worried.

In all his life, Braque had never been so disgraced in a public place. As one of the most important descendants of the Pillon royal family, all those who met Braque would deliberately fawn over him. Commoners, bandits, no matter how rude or unmannerly, would hide their everyday impertinence from Braque.

But unexpectedly, truly unexpectedly, right there in that auction house where the nobility had gathered, a sincere looking fat man of unknown origin had actually just said the words 'not your goddamn business' to him in front of all those people. The graceful and gentle mask that Braque wore in his ordinary days had vanished from the face of the earth. Even that dagger-like smile was completely shredded. With an ashen face, he pointed at Han Shuo and said in a slightly trembling voice, "Wha... What did you say? How dare you say it again?"

"None of your damn business! Not your goddamn business! Not your goddamn business!" Immediately after, he extended three fingers towards Braque and added, "Three times!"

The auctioneer looked fearfully at Braque and said, "Sir, even though a mishap happened to your item two days ago because of our mistakes, you cannot just do this to us!"

"Thuram! Finish him off for me! No matter who he is, it is a capital offence to insult members of the House of Pillon!" Braque could no longer contain his anger. Pointing at Han Shuo, Braque gave the order to kill to the bodyguard beside him.

"As you wish, Master!" Thuram replied succinctly, leaping down from the third floor with a long sword in his hand. A Silvery Combat Aura began to overflow, leaving behind a spectacular glow.

However, before Thuram's blow could do any damage, Han Shuo, who was smiling at Braque, suddenly threw a punch from the stage. A streak of red light flashed through and hit the middle of the silver combat aura that was striking down. In an instant, an intense sound of colliding metals rang out. Thuram was thrown high into the air with the longsword in his hand, flying straight back into the room on the third floor where Braque was.

The speed at which Thuram flew up was even faster than when he came down. Seeing that Thuram was about to collide with Braque, a human figure suddenly appeared and hastily reached out to catch Thuram in his path to prevent Braque from being injured.

The person who suddenly appeared and caught Thuram was none other than Sophie's father, the sacred knight Sulo. When he got hold of Thuram, he discovered that Thuram had broken several ribs, while a tremendous force was emanating from Thuram's body, making him feel extremely unwell!

Sulo's expression suddenly changed. He thought, "Who is this person? How could he possess such terrifying power?
