Eve raised an eyebrow when she saw Max was not following her into the tent for her bath. She waited a while, thinking he might change his mind, but he did not. She half-expected him to join in and wear her out again. Did he suddenly grow a conscience? She snorted at that idea.

"No need," Eve smiled. "Come with me to the nearby river." She had only come to fetch Trinity, who was getting ready for her bath, planning for her to join them at the river. Surprisingly, Max was not outside but waiting by the river instead. She smiled and walked towards him.

"Sadly, there were no stars tonight," Max noted.

She only smiled and took a deep breath in. The river beside the waterfall whispered softly, a gentle murmur that blended with the chirping of crickets.
