Eight

Eudoxia and Damien arrived home safely. Lucy was cooking dinner when the both arrived. "And how was school today?" She asked pecking the kids on their cheeks.

"Well, it was fun, wasn't it?" Damien asked turning to look at Xia.

Xia turned and gave a fake smile. "Of course. With a cousin like Damien, you can't ever get bored." She said sarcastically.

Lucy smiled. "I'm glad you both has settled whatsoever differences you had."

"I'm glad too." Damien grabbed an apple on the table and bit on it. His mother took her spatula and hit his forehead. "Ouch! Mom."

"Go take a shower and stop touching those fruits with those dirty hands."

Damien rubbed his forehead. "you could have just said so."

"I just did." His mom replied.

Xia went to her room to shower so she could settle down for dinner and probably spend the night in bed.

Damien was about going to his when he remembered something. He moved closer to his mother. "Mom, can I take Xia out tonight?" he asked. His mother looked at him. "I promise to bring her home before midnight..." His mom's eyes were still fixed on him. "...unharmed."

"I don't know about that son." Lucy said.

Damien pouted. "Come on mom! besides, this is going to really be helpful to her. What do you say?"

"Did she agree?" Lucy asked.

"Let's find out." Damien walked closed to the stairs and yelled. "Hey Xia, would you like to have some of those pizzas?" He asked.

"Definitely! I wouldn't miss it for anything." Xia replied back.

Damien turned to look at his mother. Lucy smiled and shook her head. "Just make sure you both are back before midnight, unharmed." She warned.

"Yes boss!" Damien said in salutation.

"Dinner will be serve soon." She told him as he ran to take a shower.

Rameses and his daughter Riven sat down in their alien ship. "Are you sure it's a good idea?" Riven asked. "I mean, Carlos is there already and I'm pretty sure he's doing a good job."

Rameses stood up. "The more people I send to earth, the easier it's going to be for me to get the key."

"But dad..."

"I'm sending you to earth and that is final!" he shouted at her making her scared. "I just need to find the right person for you to enter." He said as he stared at the planet earth.

Theresa was waiting outside for Damien to come pick her up because he promised that he would but it 8:30 and she hasn't seen him. She was getting angry already. She took her phone and was about to call him when she heard a knock at the door. "That must be him." She said with a smile on her face. She ran to open the door but to her surprise, she didn't see anyone. "That's strange! I'm definitely sure I heard someone knock." The moment she shut the door and turned, the light in her house tripped off and a loud noise was heard.

Damien had to force Xia to wear something beautiful. "I don't like this dress." Xia complained.

"Is there anything you've ever liked?"

"Pizza."

"That doesn't involves food." Damien quickly added.

"Fine! Turn around." Xia told him but Damien folded his arms and was staring at her. Xia was about to get dressed when she noticed he was still staring at her. "Didn't you hear what I just said?"

"it's not like I haven't seen everything I needed to see." He muttered before turning.

Xia put on the black gown. "Can you help me with the zip? My hand can't reach it."

"Why did you tell me to turn in the first place if I'm going to end up turning again." Damien said.

"Shut up already, will you?"

Damien got closer and helped her with the zip. Xia looked at the dress and as she was about to turn, the light tripped off making her fall on Damien. The light came back on again only for her to find that her lips were already on his. Damien quickly pushed her off making her fall on her butt.

"Ouch!" Xia whined glaring at Damien. It looked like she was about to freeze him.

"You can't do anything with those contact lenses on."

"Oh really!" She said as she moved her finger and immediately, Damien moved to the wall and bumped his head on it.

"Ouch!" He whined.

"Now we're even!" Xia said.

"Are you kids okay?" Lucy asked.

They nodded. "Is everything okay?"

"I don't know but the electricity downstairs has been acting really weird." she explained.

Xia thought for a while what this mean. Could it be that someone else from her planet came to earth? If she still has the key then it means that she's opened the portal for people in her planet to come to earth. Rameses.

"I'm pretty sure it'd be fine. We'll be on our way now. I need to pick up Theresa." Damien said as he grabbed Xia's hand.

"Be safe okay? I love you!"

"We love you too." Damien replied back.

"You didn't tell me Theresa was coming."

"You didn't ask."

"How was I suppose to know you were bringing her along?"

"How was I suppose to know you didn't know I was bringing her along?" Damien said mimicking her voice.

Xia raised her hand in front of him and was about to do something when he raised his hands. "OK OK...I'm sorry. You can stop now."

Xia felt really happy. They arrived at Theresa's house. He knocked at the door and the door opened revealing Theresa in her white mini gown. Damien stood there dumbfounded. "" Theresa, you look beautiful. " He said as he gave her a kiss.

"Thank you." She replied. "Shall we?"

They all went inside his car and of course Xia sat at the back. The moment Theresa entered, Xia could tell that something was definitely wrong but she couldn't pick out what it is.

She watched them converse together, holding each other hands and also kissing when the road is clear of vehicles. She decided to ignore the pain she was feeling in her heart. It was like Theresa was rubbing it in her face.

"I think I'll just come over there myself." She said as she opened the door.

"But you don't k..." the moment he turned, she was gone. "...and she's gone."

"I'm sure she can take care of herself." Theresa said and immediately, her eyes turned blue then turned back to normal in split seconds.
