Chapter 5

The temple stood tall and proud in the surrounded desert of the western gates as the cold wind blew around in different directions. The carriage and horses on arrival were the only sound being heard.

Brenda sat with anticipation inside the carriage, dressed in a white folded gown and rubbed with white powder on her face. Her heartbeat could be heard in the silent carriage, Brenda decided to sneak a glance at her father who sat beside her, wearing a stoic expression on his face.

Brenda squeezed her palm wishing that her loving twin was beside her at least then she wouldn't feel so alone, she debated telling her father of Vivian's plans but decided against it, who knows what her father would subject her twin towards, Brenda wasn't blind but she just wanted to innocently cling to the idea that her father loved Vivian in another kind of way, because the young girl cannot fathom why her father could hate his own daughter. Sighing quietly Bibian agreed that her sister was already going through alot and didn't need more problems. Bibisn regretted and hated the way she left things with her sister hated the fact that they did not get to settle their difference before leaving, they had never quarreled this way let alone bear grudges this time was big and it was different. She despised the emptiness and loneliness it made her feel, she could have apologized. Her sister was undergoing a lot of pains and terror emotionally and psychologically, Vivian needed all her love and support and she was going to give it to her, and if eventually her sister decided that she would leave then she would support her no matter what.

"We have arrived darling,to the old temple of the fallen Gods" her father's husky voice interrupted her thoughts. Brenda stood up instantly strengthening herself and trying to look less anxious than she already was feeling, her father smiled slowly seeing through her brave acts "You will do well to remember that you are our future leader our queen to be, this purification rite will cleanse and enable you to rule well, when the time comes" he guffed out.

Brenda managed a small smile to her father, patting the small shoulders the old man continued "Am certain you will make a perfect ruler, after all my blood is what runs through your veins" he finalized.

Standing up, the king held his daughter's hand and together they walked into the castle.

The other carriage arrived shortly after their departure with an unconscious Vivian and a group of warriors. Hog a Short roundish man, walked lazily out of the temple eyeing the unconscious princess and the guards. Hog was the King's head adviser and partner in crime, with a rounded belly, he could be passed out as a pregnant man carrying a set of triplets but no one dared said anything or less in whisphers. Being close with the king gave him so much power.

Turning his attention to the two guards he pointed at them "You and you take her to the inner room, there you will see a young woman, she knows what to do." he ordered. Which the guards went to do immediately.

What is the he Kings plan towards Vivian, will she succeed in leaving and what exactly is Bibian's descion.
