I walked down the street with a happy smile. Yes, my life was a mess and was literally falling apart under me but I was finally making some progress when it came to Ethan. Malia did not completely hate me nor did I completely hate Vasilisa.

Yes to others, I might have been walking down the street, with a tracksuit a bit too big for my body, my hair a complete mess and I looked terribly tired, but I was happy. The universe finally seemed to be listening to my prayers. Maybe that was why Grandpa was so religious it worked if you did not abuse your prayers too much.

I was on my way to Malia since I wanted to check in on her and Bunbun probably missed me too. It was quite fun to have a pet because at least I did not completely feel alone at times. Maybe that was why Dad brought me her. It was an early lesson on responsibility before the baby came.
