When EJ and I realised it was 6am we decided it was time to stop lazing around and get showered. Pa had told us to be ready at 8am sharp since we would make a large breakfast together before we took him off to wherever Pa planned his first surprise.

I had to hold onto the walls as I walked to my bedroom as a head pounded against my skull. It felt impossible to put one leg in front of the other but somehow I managed until I got to the bedroom.

As soon as I entered I found Malia sitting on the bed dressed in a light blue floral dress, white pumps and her hair up in a ponytail. She had light makeup on her face and pink lipgloss. She read a book in her hands with a small frown.

I could not help but whistle as I entered the room with a grin, "You look beautiful."

She looked up from the book and sent a glare my way, "You're the biggest idiot I know."
