Eternal Castle

In a post-apocalyptic world, Princess Sofia fancies a commoner on the streets and follows him to the Mountains of Death from where she ends up in a 17th-century mansion, where the commoner - Heinrich - is the owner of the mansion and the Princess is forced to work for him. __ “What do you want from me?” The Princess asked frustratingly. “You must think you are the main character or something.” The man chuckled, “Sofia, I want nothing from you. You followed me. I did not abduct you.” “I made a mistake. I request you to send me back.” “I cannot,” The man replied. “It is not under my command. It comes and goes.” “What does that mean?” “That means you are stuck here. Probably for life.” __ [Excerpt] Heinrich completely ignored her, slipped the keys to the room into the little pocket of his coat, and tried to walk away from the crime scene. The Princess quickly grabbed his arm, trying to reach out for his pocket with her other hand. Heinrich immediately grabbed her hand and pulled her toward himself, then pushed her to the wall, holding both her hands to it. He frowned at her with all the rage he had in his body. But it didn’t hide the lingering sorrow in his eyes. They could tear up any moment now. The Princess didn’t know if she wanted to feel sad for him or resent him. He was a confusing man. “L-Let me go…” The Princess sheepishly demanded. “Why?” Heinrich asked with anger. “Who told you to meddle in my affairs?” __ [Disclaimer: This novel is a slow burn.] — This novel is the prequel to 'Dilemma: The Chip System'. However, it's a standalone novel and you don't need to read 'Dilemma: The Chip System' to understand it. I do recommend reading it for extra spice. — This novel has taken intuition from the history of Europe. However, it is fictional and by no means connected to the real events of history. **** Cover Artist: https://www.instagram.com/alina._.smthng/

Witch

[Munich - 1617]

As the Princess fell to the ground in despair, a helping hand pushed its way from the flames. The Princess's eyes widened upon looking at Heinrich. He quickly took his overcoat off and wrapped the Princess with it. She immediately broke into tears, lacking the strength to stand up.

Heinrich tried to help her stand up when she tightly grasped his shirt.

"It is okay," Heinrich assured her, "I am here, right? It will be okay." He added calmly, "Hold onto me." He softly said before leaning to lift her into his arms.

After enveloping each inch of her skin with his coat, he called Kaspar. Suddenly, bucketfuls of water fell on the flames, calming them down.

Fortunately for the Princess, a servant had witnessed the Hoover family leaving the library, after which the Princess's screams echoed throughout the mansion. It led to Heinrich rushing to the library.
