"The RNG Gods have decided your fate!" "You shall be reincarnated in the MCU as Escanor!" '??!' "Your reincarnation has been processed, we wish you luck!" 'Now wait a f**king minute!' #No_System
Pain. Excruciating pain and a loud ringing resounding in my ears.
Then, complete and utter silence. No more pain, no more noise, nothing. As I felt myself slipping into darkness and my eyes closed, all I could think about was how it was finally over and that I could now rest.
I was content with my past life, so I had no reason to hold onto it and accepted my death. Were there things that I could have done better, or options that would have helped me lead a better life? Yes. Did I have regrets? No.
I knew I did not lead the best life that I could have enjoyed or the fact that my life was cut short, but I did not regret anything. Those were choices I had made while being aware of the risks, and I chose to go with those options anyways, so any consequences that result from it are my responsibility. Thus, I accepted my death and let go of my former identity.
But then, out of nowhere, I felt myself being pulled into a blinding white space.
"Congratulations! You have been chosen for the 'Reincarnation + 2 Small Wish' package by the RNG Gods!"
The sudden change and the overly cheerful voice left me baffled and unable to reply, though the voice did not seem to care and continued anyways.
"Time to pick a world to reincarnate into and which power to reincarnate with!"*Poof*
Two colorful wheels appeared out of nowhere and started spinning. They were divided into many sections, one with the names of the different shows and movies I had watched and another with the name of the different characters of the series.
*tick, tick, tick* *ding, ding, ding!*
"How interesting, you will be reincarnated into the MCU! That is quite the dangerous world to be born in! How lucky that you received a great power to help you survive!" The voice continued enthusiastically, "The Gods have spoken, and you shall be granted the powers and appearance of Escanor: the Lion's Sin of Pride from The Seven Deadly Sins! Now, you have your small wish remaining before we are able to complete your reincarnation! Be warned that as a small wish, you can only wish for minor things such as your race, appearance, date of birth, etc."
At this point, I was so overwhelmed by what exactly happened that I just decided to give up trying to comprehend it and go with the flow.
'Escanor, huh? Escanor possesses the ability Sunshine, a truly overpowered ability but it has several drawbacks as well. Because it possesses more power than what his mortal body is able to contain, Sunshine burns through Escanor's life force, especially if he wants to maintain more powerful forms like The One. Sunshine also causes Escanor to have unbridled pride, pride so great that it overrides and dictates all his other emotions and thoughts - though it also gives him charisma. So, I need to be born into a race that has stronger bodies, is capable of powerful magic, and greater lifespan. Why am I thinking about this so hard? I can just choose an overpowered race and be done with this.'
'I choose to be reborn as a Celestial!'
A big bright red window appeared in front of me with "INVALID CHOICE" written on it and the mysterious voice spoke as if scolding a child, "EEH! Although a Small Wish can change your race, Celestials are out of the scope of the limits of the wish, they are far too powerful!"
'Well then since I have a sun-related power, how about a Kryptonian?'
The voice continued, "I cannot grant you that one as well because they are a race that do not exist in the MCU."
I was still confused as to why it mattered so much that the race is from the MCU while I was receiving Sunshine, a power that did not exist in the MCU but decided to ignore it for the time being.
'Okay then, what about an Asgardian for my first wish, and control over Sunshine's forms for my second wish?!'
The voice replied cheerfully, "Great choice! Both Wishes are acceptable and will be granted! Unfortunately it seems that you went slightly over the time limit and thus a penalty will be applied in the form of your memories being sealed."
'THERE WAS A F**KING TIMER?!'
"Now that your reincarnation has been processed, we wish you luck and hope for your adventures to be entertaining for all of our viewers!"
'WAIT A F**KING MINUTE I'M NOT DONE HERE!!!'

A/N: I'm back!
Be warned that uploads WILL be inconsistent until the story starts to pick up as a lot of what happens in the early chapters will dictate how the story will turn out.
I tried to change the first chapter so that its a bit more clear as to why our MC ended up Asgardian.

Edit: Adding another note here that there is a reason why MC's memories have been SEALED and not erased.
