Chapter 23: It’s not over
At the auditorium
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a man wearing a Charlie Chaplin mask with a smile drawn by blood and a black suit stabs Mr. Jinta in the abdomen, which makes the others let out a scream. Mr. Jinta falls to the ground, and the man continues to stab him in multiple areas. Suddenly, Mr. Jinta stops his hand.
Mr. Jinta: I'm sorry...
But the man doesn't think twice before chopping him into pieces. No one has seen that man since.
(Flashback no. 1 ends.)
At the hospital
Tanjiro' pov
By the time the entire story ended, it was already nighttime.
Tanjiro: So that murderer is still out there? Didn't the police do anything about it?
Kosei: They tried hard to find him but failed. They don't even know his identity yet. So yeah, he is still out there. But after that, a number of murders happened. All the victims were rich and influential people, like politicians and celebrities. But along with the murders, the reasons were also given. All of them were frauds done by them and how they had covered them up. The police didn't bother because it was helpful for them at first. But the government passed down a death warrant for him. So the police force is searching for him now.
Tanjiro: Actually, he did try to kill...
Kosei: WHO?
Tanjiro: Me…
Kosei: WHAT!! Why didn't you tell me this before?
Tanjiro: Because I thought you wouldn't tell me my past if I did.
Kosei: "Oh God!" If he is after you, then he will kill you. Oh God, we have to inform the police!
Tanjiro: "No, , we don't need to!" I am sure we won't come after me now.
Kosei: Tanjiro, he is a psycho! He will-
Tanjiro: , first calm down and sit here... I need your help to find Sol.
Kosei: Aren't you guys college friends?
Tanjiro: Yeah, but I tried calling her, but she won't answer.
Suddenly, the nurse came in.
Nurse: YO MISTER! How long do you think you will sit with him? VISITING TIME IS OVER!
