Liam's POV:
As I emerged from the gate, I found myself standing next to the house of the children. I felt ashamed to knock on the door, afraid of their reaction as I had nothing new to tell them about their missing Gustang. Reluctantly, I had to return home by afternoon to share the heartbreaking news that there were still no new information about him. The thought of seeing their disappointed faces breaks me every time.
I took a deep breath and balled my hand into a fist, summoning up the courage to knock on the door. After about five seconds, Henry answered, his face expressionless and his eyes devoid of life. Despite his weakened state, he tried to maintain a normal voice so as not to worry his younger brother.
"Good morning, Liam. Come on in," he said, avoiding eye contact.
Without saying a word, I walked straight to the couch and sat down. "Call Edward, I need to speak to both of you," I said firmly.
