Sports Festival (End) and Ceremony.

{POV Ryuu.}

I slowly returned my gaze to Shoto. "Well, that was quite the dumb decision. You do realize the fight would've been over if you didn't freeze your feet, right?"

"Bul-bullshit. I would've been thrown to th-!!" Shoto started to speak with a heavy breath as he started to cough violently.

I just smiled as he was right. I would have continued to slowly break Shoto… within reason, if he hadn't frozen his own feet.

"True, but you're only prolonging the inevitable Shoto. Do you have any idea how weak you truly are, Shoto?"

Shoto continued to cough as he looked up with a look of pain in his eyes. "What are you-!"

I didn't let him finish as I broke the ice encasing his feet before quickly throwing Shoto over my shoulder and onto the ground forming a small crater. I even heard the gasps among the crowd as well as Midnight screaming at me.

I planted my foot on Shotos chest as it started to turn blood red as I slowly put pressure on his chest.

Shoto started to wail in pain as I could feel the creaking of his bones beneath my foot.

There wasn't even a smile on my face nor was there any emotion as I looked in the direction of Midnight as she stood close. I noticed she was using her ability to try and put me asleep to no avail.

"It smells rather nice, sensei. But if you're planning to knock me out then I would suggest you take this seriously. Or just have Shoto surrender to this farce of a match." Midnight started to frown as she kept shifting her attention between Shoto and I.

"And if I were you I'd make the decision soon. His chest won't last that much longer, before it caves in."

Midnight quickly made a decision after my hint and called the match.

I slowly removed my foot from Shotos' chest as I felt multiple people had started to rush onto the stage.

I could feel everyone's stares on me as they remained silent due to the display I showed them.

"You know Shoto, if you would have really trained and used the ability that was tailor made just for you. It actually could have been a good fight. Be glad you experienced this in a controlled environment." I spoke with a harsh tone.

"Because if you continue as you are, you'll be dead soon."

I didn't even wait around for Present Mic to announce the winner of the match as I started to head into the tunnels, but just before I entered I heard the cry of both my mother and father as they started to cheer.

I smiled as I raised my fist and entered the tunnels.

[Waiting Room V, in the stadium.]

I had been waiting a long time before the start of the award ceremony. I was even escorted to a separate room because of 'safety'. I call shit.

"They're probably discussing what to do to me as punishment. But what can they do, I only broke his bones, just a minor injury." I said with a small laugh as I continued to meditate.

"The least they could have done was allow my parents to see me, assholes."

I opened my eyes slowly as I heard footsteps approaching the room. But I was a little confused because the footsteps were quick, almost like a small child.

Then the door swung open with a bang!

I was a little surprised when I didn't see anyone enter when the door opened. Then I saw a small animal wearing a suit with a scar on his face jump onto the table. There was a smile on its face as it looked me up and down.

"Hello, Ryuu. I'm the principal of U.A. High, Nezu. Please follow me as we head to the stadium." He spoke very politely and even bowed. "You are not in any trouble I assure you, I even have a job or request if you have an ear to listen."

"Greeting principal Nezu. What do you have in mind?" I said with a smile on my face as we both headed back to the stadium.

"Well it's something along the lines of this…"

"Now then let's move on to the award ceremony!" Midnight said in a cheerful tone as she showed off the top three students of the sports festival.

Bakugou, Shoto, and I all stood on a raised platform. Bakugou had fury in his eyes as he stood on the platform while wearing a vicious smile. Shoto looked like he was lost as he kept staring at the ground.

I was finding it a little hard to pay attention at the moment as the conversation with Nezu still rang in my head.

"He's a terrifying man, Nezu." I said softly as I looked to the booth that held the higher ups of the school as I noticed Nezu drinking his tea with the higher ups of the school.

"Alright well it's time to confer the medals!" Midnight said with a cheer. "And the one who'll present the medals this year is naturally none other tha-"

Midnight wasn't able to finish as she was interrupted by the booming voice of All Might.

"It is, I!! And I am here with medals!!" All Might exclaimed as he leapt off the top of the stadium while flipping.

While doing the infamous superhero landing. Woo.

All Might rose like nothing happened as he walked up the steps placed in front of Bakugou.

"Bakugou my boy! Well you'll never stop being continuously appraised by society, so there aren't many who'd form an absolute, unchanging impression of you out there. So take this and bear it! Bear it as a 'wound' so that you shall not forget!" All Might said in his typical hero way as he tried to place the medal around Bakugous neck.

But was stopped as Bakugou grabbed the medal out of All Might's hands.

"I don't need your lousy medal." Bakugou said with rage in his eyes. "But I'll keep it as a paperweight instead."

All Might flinched slightly as he seemed shocked. Then quickly gathered himself as he started to head in Shotos direction.

I just started laughing as I thought it was hilarious. I didn't even stop when I felt the stares of the crowd.

"Todoroki my boy. Congratulations. You must have had your reasons for suppressing your ability." All Might asked with concern in his voice as he placed Shotos medal over his head.

"The fight with Ryuu started my confusion, while the other fight with Midoriya awakened something… but I lost grasp of what I should do." Shoto said with a lowered voice.

"I have a feeling I understand why they've been weighing on your mind." All Might said with understanding in his voice as he tried to comfort Shoto.

"I wanted to be a hero like you, All Might. But… I thought, if I tried to get over it all just by myself that would be wrong. There are still some things I need to come to terms with." Shoto said as he looked up.

But when Shoto looked up I noticed that he wasn't looking at All Might, but towards me instead. I even saw a small fire burning in his eyes. As I just smiled as I didn't respond.

Then All Might gently embraced Shoto as he just stood there. "Your expression is completely different from before. I won't pry any deeper. But I know that now, you can come to a reckoning without a doubt."

All Might slowly let go of Shoto as he slowly turned to face me. But when I saw the look in his eyes, it wasn't praise or anything noble in them. It was a look I recognized from the U.S.J. incident before it swiftly was replaced with a fake look of praise.

Oh, was that fear, as well as worry? Well now, why would he have that?

"And lastly, Ryuu." Oh, no my boy behind it, I feel loved.

"Congratulations on being the winner for this year's sports festival." All Might said in a booming voice getting only a loud cheer from my parents, Mei, Tsuyu, and my group of friends.

All Might gently laid my medal over my head as he spoke softly to where only I was able to hear him.

"What are you thinking Ryuu? I understand that it was within reason but… that was too far. We need to have a talk also, I find that your plan with Nezu isn't some-"

"Thank you! All Might, for those encouraging words of praise! It is everything I could have ever asked for! Now don't you have somewhere to be as someone needs saving right!" I said in a cheerful and proud voice with a bright smile on my face.

A small amount of clapping could be heard across the stadium.

All Might paused as he just continued to stare with his patient smile on his face before turning to the crowd and loudly exclaimed.

"Indeed! There you have it! This year, it's these three!! However, take heed, folks! There was a possibility for everyone in this arena to stand here! It's just as you saw with your very own eyes, ladies and gentlemen! They competed and boosted each other up! Everyone can continue to climb higher, advancing ever farther! The next generation of heroes will surely sprout from the seeds planted this day!! And to that sentiment, I'll add one more thing!"

All Might then posed as he lifted his arm and pointed to the sky and heroically exclaimed

"EVERYBODY SAY IT WITH ME NOW!!"

The award ceremony didn't last that much longer after as we all ended up back at school the same day.

"Well since you've all earned a rest, tomorrow and the next day you have off. I'll organize all the nominations from the pros and present them after the break… " Aizawa said with a muffled voice as he continued to give praise to the rest of the class.

I stopped paying attention after he said we'd get a couple days off. It was easy to not pay attention as it was kinda hard to not notice Tsuyus' continued glance. Luckily Aizawa released us rather quickly as he didn't have much else to say.

"Can I talk to you privately, Ryuu. Ribbit." Tsuyu said with a blush on her smiling face.

"Of course Tsuyu." I said with a smile.
