Host Of The Glimmer Events.
With a dart hitting the board, a murmur came. "Xu Haotian is late."
Another dart was sent into the air straight to the target as another murmur came. "Qin Lixin ditched us."
With two darts sticking to the board away from the central target, a third dart was thrown which hit right where it was needed and a long sigh was heard.
Yang Feiyu eyed the dart juggling in the centre without any excitement and came to sit on one of the chairs. "I never knew being the first one to reach was so tiring. I even completed the target but those are still nowhere in sight."
He picked up the bottle of water from the table, opened the cap and drank it all in one go. "Seriously, what's up with these guys today? Xu Haotian has always been the first one to reach but god knows where he is today whereas Qin Lixin...that guy is weird as always."
"Damn bro, I really don't understand him! Why Qin Lixin made the plan if he was not going to come anyway?" Yang Feiyu after taking a moment of rest again went to hit the darts.
"Maybe he got stuck in business affairs." Liang Guohua who had been leisurely sitting all the while on the couch of his apartment brought a stop to the constant scrolling through the news of stock market and looked at the back of his friend.
"Or maybe the fever of embarrassment hasn't left him yet." Both the men turned to the source of the voice that was emitting playfulness. Xu Haotian approached through the door with the usual cheerful face.
"Finally, after the wait of two hours someone other than us blessed us with a presence." Yang Feiyu dramatically blew the whistle and stopped making the board his target, instead sent a dart straight at Xu Haotian who enclasped it between his fingers.
"Hey bro! Don't get violent! I had to stop by Glimmer Entertainment to sign some invitation cards of VIP as the host of upcoming events."
"Host of the events of Glimmer Entertainment? Is that too one of the subsidiaries your family has made you in charge of?" Yang Feiyu was surprised at this information.
"Fortunately, yes. And this is the only one company I am happy to manage. Entertainment is fun." Xu Haotian grinned as he grabbed the cold drink from the refrigerator. "Liang Guohua, I just love your house. It even has my favourite brand."
"It would be the first time for you to be the host of events, right? Good luck with it. Your family has also started dragging you in the game." Liang Guohua placed his locked phone aside and got up to give a fist bump to his friend.
"Yea, they told me just the day before yesterday when I reached home that I am supposed to take care of events this time."
"So you would be very busy in that this time?" Yang Feiyu probed plainly.
"I am already very busy. I took the time of lunch break to come here. My grandfather thinks now that am in the last year of university, it is the right time to start getting into the family business." Xu Haotian yawned and rubbed his eyes before continuing.
"He wants me to start with subsidiaries so that by the time am done with my masters, it would be easier to hand the family business down to someone who has experience in management." He muttered the whole family plan tiredly as he leaned back on the couch.
"It's just been a day and you already look worn out."
"I have just been running around tirelessly since yesterday."
Liang Guohua heard his friend's complaints and remembered his too. "Even I am asked to start intern-period in our company in holidays."
"Gladly, I am far from these responsibilities for now." Yang Feiyu smirked at both of them.
"You are the luckiest one among us! Your father loves his galleries too much to give them off to your hands whereas our families just want to get done with their positions now." Xu Haotian groaned thinking of the sleepless nights he had been spending to analyse all the companies' reports lately.
"Qin Lixin won't come?"
"Who knows? He told us to arrive but didn't come yet."
Xu Haotian tossed the two envelopes he brought out from the pocket of his black jacket on the table "Here, take this."
"What is it?" Liang Guohua took the Rosegold coloured envelope and ripped it to find the invitation card.
"Invitation card? For which event?" Yang Feiyu swirled the beautifully-laminated invitation card with 'VIP CARD' highlighted in cursive writing.
"All of them."
"How many events you would be hosting?"
"Around four to five."
Yang Feiyu pried looking at the dates of events mentioned in the card. "Why so many of them?"
"It is the entertainment agency, moreover the one at the top. One would be the event for major productions of the year, an annual event for all the artists of the company, a Christmas dinner and a new-year party. I need to keep up with the standard."
"That's too many. Wait- does that mean you wouldn't be spending the new year with us?" Yang Feiyu raised an eyebrow at him.
"Nope, because you guys would be attending the new-year party hosted by me." Xu Haotian wiggled his eyebrows mischievously as he spoke the next line, "Don't worry, I would live up to my name too. It would be fun, I can guarantee you that."
Liang Guohua and Yang Feiyu amusedly exchanged glances as they saw the smirk lightning on Xu Haotian's face. They both jumped and pulled him into a headlock, "What do you have in mind?"
"Just wait and watch. You will know once you are there. These are the customised card which would give you entry in all the events."
"Why are you guys hanging off him like monkeys?" A husky voice filled with immense boredom interrupted them and Qin Lixin lazily entered through the door.
"You came so early. You could have taken some more time to come." Xu Haotian sarcastically welcomed the 'always-late' friend of theirs.
"You should be glad that I came at least."
Liang Guohua heard that and asked curiously. "Why? What were you so occupied with?"
"Well-I was busy." Qin Lixin replied shortly.
"Doing what?" With a raised eyebrow pointed at him, Xu Haotian dug.
"Sleeping."
"..." Damn you!
"Here am not getting even three hours of sleep properly and you were sleeping peacefully!"
The straight lined lips of Yang Feiyu crept upwards as he leaned forward to get close to Qin Lixin's face, "With whom were you busy in bed till this late afternoon?"
Qin Lixin rolled his eyes and pushed away the face of Yang Feiyu with his index finger and took a seat.
