THIRTY FOUR (Drunk dial)

"…Can I get another shot, Milo?" Mia drawled as she heard someone else place their order.

"Sure."

She suddenly raised her head off the table and let out an exasperated sigh then began,

"…Hey Milo." She drawled,

"Mm?" He replied as he poured her another shot,

"Can I ask you a question?" She murmured,

"I'm all ears my lady."

"Why are people so selfish these days, I mean you make someone do something bad and then you let them take the fall for it?" She chuckled painfully as she grabbed the glass and gulped down the second shot.

"Ahh!" She exclaimed, "How could he be so mean, you know for a second there, I actually thought it was real. I actually thought he was starting to like me." She paused as she chuckled painfully,

"Can you believe that, I actually fell for all that bullshit!" her voice suddenly cracked. "I could have been mentally prepared if he had told me his intentions in the first place, why did he have to go behind my back like that." She sobbed, it was obvious she was already drunk, seeing that her cheeks had turned rosy red and her eyes sleepy.

Milo wasn't quite sure of what she was even saying.

"You know, you should straighten things out with this person." He advised as he cleaned a beer cup.

"You think?" Mia chuckled,

"Yeah, well he probably had a reason for doing it." He shrugged,

"You full of good advice Milo, I'm gonna call him right now and tell him what I think of his action."

"Not exactly what I had in mind, but oh well." He shrugged then walked away.

At that moment, Mia picked up her phone and dialed Ethan numbers, and at the same time, he picked up.

"…Mia?" He cautiously began,

"Hey! You crazy jerk! How dare you humiliate me like that, do you know you hurt my pride so much! You—"

"Are you drunk?! Did you drunk dial me?" Ethan questioned,

"No not yet, I feel tipsy though, I only had two shot of tequila…Te-qui-la." She paused as she giggled shyly, "I like the way it rolls out of my mouth—"

"Mia, where the heck are you right now, I'll come to you—"

"I don't know, can't really tell." She paused as she glanced around, "But it's a bar." She chuckled.

"Goddamn it Mia! Where exactly are you—"

"Okay, okay, take a chill pill I'll give Milo the phone." She paused, and the next thing Ethan heard was her, screaming Milo's name in the background.

"Who the hell's Milo." He thought.

"He wants to speak with you Milo." She giggled as she handed a confused Milo the phone.

"Um…Okay?—"

"Milo, where the heck is she, I'll come to you right now."

George's line kept trilling, but there was no reply and Ethan wouldn't stop trying. He had managed to pick her from the bar, he had driven a distance when suddenly he realized he didn't know Mia's address. Mia had passed out, so it was no use trying to get any information from her and George who knew the address wasn't picking up either.

So without thinking much, he decided to drive her back to his mansion, since that seemed like the only reasonable thing to do at the moment. Thankfully, it was quite late when he returned and most of the workers had already retired to bed, Noel too. So it was much easier for him to carry Mia in a bridal style to the guest room upstairs without leaving any room for gossips. He gently laid her on her the bed and watched her for a while before he retired to his own room.

At past two am, Ethan came downstairs to get a glass of milk since he was finding it very difficult to fall asleep after George had finally returned his call about an hour ago. He was out with his friends since it was his day off and didn't realize when the phone rang.

Meanwhile, the events of the day flashed through his mind as he opened the fridge and pour himself some milk.

"Maybe I should have told her told her in the first place." He sighed.

Just as he closed the fridge behind him, he heard a small thud, and when he turned on the light, he found Mia on her knees, she had probably fallen on the stairs.

"Mia!" He called as he quickly rushed to her rescue, and knelt by her side,

"Are you okay?" he asked with concern,

"Mr. Regal, is that you? Why are you in this place, is this my dream?" she giggled,

"…Tch! Two shots of tequila really did this to you." He sighed,

"Mr. Regal…" She drawled like a possessed person,

"…You know, I like you a lot, but you're really, really dense, you know that right?" She murmured, her hair fell on her face and she still seemed very wasted.

"Mia, stop talking now, you're still drunk," He told her as her tried to get her up, "You're going to regret what you—"

She suddenly held a finger to his lips.

"Shhh." She told him and the next thing he knew, Mia's lips were on his.

"I'm serious Ethan, I'm starting to like you a lot."
