Chapter 21

Chen Wen travelled by car to Wang Jin's home with Jing and Mingyun with him as they reached the house. When he got out of the car he saw that the house it very big and luxurious and is decorated quite nicely.

However, his attention was taken by the two lion statues on either side of the Gate as he looked at them. Jing and Mingyun noticed his gaze as they looked at the two lions before looking at him.

"Is there a problem with them brother Wen?" Jing asked him curiously.

"Hmm, I just want to check them. Is it fine?" Wen said to him as he looked at the man.

"Sure. Please go ahead." Jing said to him with a smile.

The guard looked at Wen questioningly but since Jing didn't seem to be bothered by it he didn't say anything and just opted to watch what happens.

Wen then walked to the lion statue to his right and looked at it. He could feel the Yin energy coming from it as he narrowed his eyes. His eyes glowed a bit as the same lotus symbol appeared on it before he looked at the lion statue for a few seconds before looking at the one to his left before his eyes went back to normal.

"It looks like these two statues are giving out Yin energy." Wen said to the two of them.

"They are?!" Jing and Mingyun said surprised.

"Yes. They continuously bathe all those who walk past them with Yin energy. I'm sorry to say but we're gonna have to break them." Wen said to the two of them.

"If what you say is true then we have to get rid of them instead of just breaking them." Mingyun said to him as she looked at the statues.

"No need. First let's take them inside." Wen said to her seriously.

Jing and Mingyun looked at each other before they decided to just do as he says. They removed the statues from the walls and then brought them inside to the garden.

Wang Jin and Jing's wives and Jing's two children were in the house and we're confused by what was happening there. But they were reassured by Jing and Mingyun and though Jin's wife was a bit jarred about how Wen was taking the statues she didn't say anything and continued to watch.

After Wen got the statues to the garden he broke the two statues with tools and concentrated Chi before he took out two orbs from inside the two statues.

"Are those perhaps?" Jing asked him as he looked at the two orbs.

"Yes. They are the sources of the Yin energy in these two statues. And now that they are out of it I can cleanse them." Wen said as he placed the two orbs beside him on the ground.

He then cleansed the two lion statues before he used Chi to repair the two back as Jing and Mingyun and their family watched with wide eyes.

"There. Good as new." Wen said as he presented the two statues to them.

"B-Brother Wen, that was." Mingyun said shocked as she looked at the two statues.

"The both of them look as if they are completely new." Jing said as he looked at the two statues.

"It's fine brother Jing. But I would like to see the inside of your house. I think there are more Yin producing objects in there." Wen said to him as he looked at the house as he see the Yin on it.

He had seen the obvious signs on the family as they seemed to be a bit fatigued and tired. The kids were more tired when they should've been more energetic.

"Really? There are more?" Jing asked surprised at his words.

"Yes. I hope brother Jing doesn't mind." Wen said to him with a smile.

"Of course not. Please take a look." Jing said to him eagerly as Wen nodded to him.

After getting the man's permission, Wen scoured the house using his senses and found 5 other objects in the house which was producing Yin energy. All five of them were antiques and looked quite expensive.

After finding them he placed them all on the table in front of the family as they all looked at the objects except for the children.

"So these are all the things?" Jing asked as he looked at the antiques.

"Yes. Do you know from whom you had gotten all these?" Wen asked him curiously.

"I don't fully know it. Some had been given to us as gifts so their owners aren't known to us." Jing said before he looked at his mother with a questioning look.

"I don't know son. Your father would be more suited for that type of question." His mother said to him.

"Still, thank you brother Wen for this. If you hadn't come then we wouldn't have been able to know about this." Mingyun said with a grateful look.

"It's no problem really. You helped me and I helped you. An equivalent exchange." Wen said to her with a smile.

'It is not an equivalent exchange and he knows it. And yet he acts so humble and kind.' Jing and Mingyun thought to themselves as they looked at him with a grateful look.

"Well, what do you want to do with these?" Wen asked them as he gestured to the antiques and the two orbs.

"We don't want these things inside our house." Jing's wife said to him as she glared at the things.

"But I could just cleanse them as I have done with the statues." Wen said to the woman.

"I still won't feel at ease with these things in our house. You must get rid of them." Jing's wife said to him.

"I also agree with her. I won't be comfortable with them here." Jing's mother said to him.

"Alright. How about this then? I will cleanse them and brother Jing can sell them. There's no reason for you to remove such antiques without getting some profit for yourself." Wen said to him with a smile.

"I would appreciate it." Jing said with gratitude.

Wen nodded to him and then used his powers to cleanse the antiques and the two orbs in response cracked and then broke into pieces. After that he bid his goodbyes to the family before he went to the gate and called for a taxi.

"Thank you for your assistance again brother Wen. I promise you that your clinic will be built shortly." Jing said to him with a smile.

"Thank you for your help as well brother Jing. I'll wait patiently for the clinic to he completed." Wen said to him with a smile.

"Are you sure you don't want me to give you a lift?" Mingyun asked him curiously.

"Of course. I have some places to go to so it's better if I go on my own." Wen said to her with a nod.

"If you're sure. Take care brother Wen." Mingyun said with a smile as she waved at him.

Wen nodded to her before he got in the taxi and went away as the two cousins watched the vehicle go.

"You know Mingyun, why don't you try to get together with brother Wen?" Jing asked his cousin.

"Wait what!?" Mingyun said shocked at his words as she blushed.

"I mean, he is kind, considerate and has helped our family a great deal. It would be a good thing wouldn't it?" Jing said to her with a smile.

"B-Brother Jing, please shut up! Don't say embarrassing things like that out in the open!" Mingyun said to him flustered with a blushing face while Jing laughed out loud in response.
