A NEW TEACHER

At the capital.....

"Has there been any reaction from the void stone since when registration into academies started?"

"No Mr. Smith"

"Haih, when are we going to find the chosen one?"

Right now this discussion is being held in a large tent by two scientists wearing lab coats. One of them has green hair while wearing glasses on his pale face while the other has black hair with brown eyes added to his well-crafted face making him look dashing.

They were still talking in the void stone when a loud bang rang out from outside the tent followed by a slight earthquake.

"What is going on?"

"I don't know Steve but let's go out to check"

After balancing themselves from the sudden earthquake, they walked out of the tent. When they saw what was going on outside, they were visibly shocked as they both shouted completely in sync.

"FUCK!!"

Right now everywhere was a mess with tents being destroyed and scientists running around In panic along with different papers on the floor. But this was not the reason why both Smith and Steve were shocked, the reason was the stone that was right in front of them shooting out a huge light beam toward the sky.

"Why did the void stone suddenly shoot out a light beam toward the sky?" asked the scientist with glasses as he swiftly grabbed a scientist by the collar

"Mr. Smith, I... I don't know, we were just doing our normal work when suddenly a light beam just shot out into the sky" replied the scientist with a flustered expression

Before Smith could reply to the flustered scientist, another scientist suddenly rushed to the Smith and Steve duo and said with a panicked expression.

"Sirs there is a major issue all over the human territory, all the void stones distributed to the academies have also shot a light beam into the sky"

After hearing the report the scientist that just came gave, Smith suddenly had weak hands as he stopped the other scientist by the collar as he muttered with a dazed expression.

'What in the world is going on?'

Three days later...

Back in the Green country energy core academy...

"Hmm... where am I?"

"You have finally woken up Dave Starks"

Suddenly, Dave jolted awake and quickly rose from the bed he was previously lying on as he looked at an old man in front of him warily.

'Didn't Hutton tell me he was just a naive kid?' thought the old man as he just quietly smiled at Dave.

"Who are you?"

"I am Hutton's master but you can just call me Mr. Long"

"Ok, Mr. Long" replied Dave as he heaved a sigh of relief. But immediately after being relieved, his expression became stern as he looked at Mr. Long for some time.

After being stared at for some time, Mr. Smith suddenly heard a question from Dave that made him confused

"Can you train me into being an energy core practitioner?"

"I thought Hutton was going to personally train you?"

After shrugging his shoulders, Dave replied.

"He was but I just found out that he can't"

"And why is that"

"I don't know, I just feel he can't teach me"

"..."

After silence reigned in the room for some time, Mr. Long sighed as he says.

"Ok, but before we start anything, we have to do something about your clothes,"

Dave was unaware that he was seriously in a disheveled state. His clothes are torn to the extent of being just rags, his hair was a mess but his body looks different as it exudes a strange aura.

'Looks like he's right' thought Dave as he had an awkward smile on his face.

"Where can I get a change of clothes?"

"In there" replied Mr. Long as he pointed at a closet beside them.

After changing to a simple white polo and shorts jean, he gently sat on the bed and said with a cute smile.

"Can we start now?"

"What would you like to start with?" asked Mr. Long as he patiently looked at Dave that seems to be pondering on something.

"I would like to know the various human territory and also the mutated beast territory," said Dave after pondering for some moments.

"Didn't they teach you that in elementary schools?" asked Mr. Long with a confused expression.

Suddenly, Dave had a depressed expression as he said.

"I could finish my elementary school because of the sudden disappearance of my parents"

"Ugh..."

After hearing what Dave said, he became awkward as he thought.

'Looks like I have a second Hutton'

"Ok listen attentively to what am about to say"

"Ok, Mr. Long," said Dave as he suddenly had a pensive look on his face. After taking a deep breath, Mr. Long began.

"In the human territories, we currently have three continents which are Uda, Palpart, and Stax. Each continent has at least 50 countries as Palpart is the most populated continent with 75 countries. We are currently in Green Country in the Stax continent, the capital of the human territories is based in Country Y in the Palpart continent. While the Mutated beast has 5 territories but right now the humans only have data on two which are Dark forest which has beasts from Rank E to C and the Vortex which is sort of a canyon that has mutated beasts from Rank D to B. The rest of the territories are classified as danger zone as they are being resided by beasts in Rank B and A"

"What are these Ranks Mr. Long?" asked Dave with a confused expression.
