Chapter 5

The next day

The morning rolls around, and he showers, gets dressed, and says his goodbyes to yugao who was the only one beside him home which was rare but occasionally did happen. He made his way to the academy and saw the same teacher who was curiously looking around like she was trying to spot someone. She notices Endo's arrival and waves him over. Curious to find out the circumstances as they were shown were they would be place goes to the teacher. Before he even has the chance to say anything…

"You are one talented kid, you know that" The teacher said while smiling. Then he motioned to for the kid to join and they walked into the building while conversing with Endo.

"The Hokage must've seen your potential because we were surprised when we heard that a non clan member children aced the placement test which hasn't happened since Minato Namikaze, who was two years younger than you." The teacher praised. They kept walking until they stopped at an open door which held a teacher's lounge inside of it was the legendary chunin we are all know of, Iruka Umino. Without wasting a second

Iruka went up the Endo and shook his hand before saying

"Good morning, you must be Endo, it's nice to meet you. I'm the teacher of 1-A. The kids are slightly older than you but you shouldn't have no problems as you are about top 10 in the class with just your placement test. Do you have any questions for me?"

'Huh, well I thought I'd be first but seeing as the placement can't determine my true place in the class I'll try to stay top 10.' Endo rememebered that he hasn't learned any jutsu, and one of the requirements is to learn the Henge technique, Clone Technique, and Body replacement jutsu.

"Good morning, and yeah when do we get to have the 3 academy techniques."

The three jutsu were given out this year for the class so Iruka completely forgot about giving the scrolls to Endo even though he packed it the day before. The teacher who brought Endo here felt like it was their time to leave them so Endo could get to class, and said there goodbyes. Iruka, seeing what time it was.

"Endo, I'd love to chat but we have to go to class or they will wonder where I am at. Please follow me" Iruka starts walking, and Endo follows.They take three turns in moderate sized halls and stopped at the end where there was sign plaster on the door and again on the siding. It read '1-A', Iruka then opens the door for Endo to come in. he looks at the class before getting hit with an erasure on top of his head and a plump of smoke explodes from the collision.

'Naruto, why is it always fucking Naruto. UGHHH' Endo eyes flicker to boy cackling among the classes' chuckle. The boy had ocean blue eyes and yellow hair. Naruto sees the boy who he now recognized as Endo, his first and only true friend and gulps. He can't seem to find the right way to go about it before Iruka nudges Endo out of the door way and looks at the rascal he's been dealing with for two years. Not missing a beat he says "Naruto apologize right now. I know that prank was for me and that's no way to treat a teacher. Look at what you've done, embarrass a kid who's younger than you." While Iruka seemingly forgets that he was suppose to be introducing Endo as he's preoccupied by Naruto's prank, Endo picks up the erasure and puts it on the ledge of the chalkboard he then rubs his hair to get the camouflaged chalk dust out before moving to his clothes. After doing that he walks back to the still ranting Iruka and pokes at him trying to get his attention. When that doesn't work

"Iruka-sensei" Endo yells.

Iruka then looks and notices Endo, and rubs the back of his head before glaring at Naruto "Right...Sorry Endo, Naruto here is just a kid who takes things a little too far. I hope you forgive him". Endo then nods and waits for his chance to Introduce himself.

Iruka picking up on this clears his throat

"Class this is Endo. He's a little late to the year, and he has been placed with us after testing well in the yearly placement test. " He looks at Endo "Endo why don't you tell the class and me a few things about yourself and take a seat. You can sit wherever there's an empty chair."

ENdo nods, and clears his throat as well" Hi, I'm Endo and I am 7 years old. I like training, and talking to people. I dislike people who hurt innocent people, and my dream is to become the strongest shinobi so that I can protect the people I care about." Endo doesn't wait another second after finishing and takes a seat next to the brat who was previously in trouble but still smiling. As he makes his way to his seat he hears

'Isn't he cool'

'Yeah, but he's no match for my Sasuke.'

'No Sasuke is mine'

'What's up with his white hair, it makes him look kinda sick'

He starts to ignore them, and look back at Naruto. He sits, and Naruto says

"Endo-san, I am so sorry for the prank I thought Iruka sensei would've been the one to get hit. Hey aren't you 2 years younger than me, Why are you here and not with the others?" Naruto again rambles and Endo just sighs and thinks. He then says

"Naruto, it's simply because I didn't belong. Let's just leave it at that-" Before Endo had a chance to finish a boy a row lower than him dressed with a grey hoodie, and a Ninken pup, which is only part of the Inuzuka clan, interrupts him and introduces himself.

"Hey, I'm Kiba and this is Akimaru"

'Yelp, Yelp'

Akimaru barks as his introduction. Endo, seeing the dog, wonders if he could get one. He then decided not to as he probably would get in trouble for having one. Before he had a chance to reply he hears "Hi i'm Choji nice to meet yeah" from a chubby boy, a row above him says. Choji continues while he now points his finger covered with chip dust at a boy laying his head down, and sighing..

"This is Shikamaru, he is the epitome of the Nara. " CHoji finishes by licking his hands that were covered in dust.

Shikamaru then replies with a signature "Troublesome doesn't even attempt to look at Endo." Endo figure this is his chance to say something and takes he chances

"Hey, I'm Endo, nice to meet you all" He turns to everyone the best he can, and then decides leave it at that.

Before they get a chance to say anything else Iruka coughs appropriately to get the classes attention and speaks.

"Class, it's been a month so today we will go to the grounds and do a placement test, see you guys there." Iruka then take out his notebook labeled 1-A placement, a pen, and leaves the room. The class moans as a sign of protest while getting up and start making there way towards the door. Following there lead, Endo follows, and on the way there he asks Naruto

"What does Iruka sensei mean by placement?"

"Oh yeah, He does this every month" Naruto just leaves it like that, and Endo still confused, looks at the Nara who has his hands behind his head and Choji who is still enjoying his chips.

Shikamaru just thinks bothersome while Choji licks his fingers and says " The test is for class ranking to decide where we will be placed and goes until our last year of school for the genin test. This happens every month since we just learned ShurikenJutsu, and the others learned taijutsu, we have competitions to see where we are at." Choji goes back to eating his chips, Endo thanks Choji, and turns back around. The class then arrives at the academy training grounds where Iruka could be seen waiting and writing something in the book. He then guides the child to make a decently large semicircle, and stands in the middle facing the class.

Iruka claps his hands "Okay class, you know the drill first is Shuriken and Kunai, then we will move on to agility, and finally we will spar."

Irula finishes explain and the kids immediately though having a shared reluctance forms 5 lines facing logs that are 10 feet away, and besides the lines are crates full of training Shuriken and Kunai. As this was happening Endo was waved by Iruka, and walked to him.

"Endo this is nothing to be afraid of. Have you learned the basic taijutsu?"

Endo nods

"How about Throwing Shuriken, and kunai?"

Endo nods again

"Ok, good so I won't have to show you. For the current test you will line up at line 5, and for the taijutsu test you will fight Shikamaru who is currently 15th on the rankings, if you managed to defeat him you will fight Sasuke Uchiha" Iruka then points to the kid who had Jet black hair, a blue shirt, and white shorts.

"If you manage to defeat either of them you will fight Naruto, but if you do you will be placed first." Iruka finishes explaining and guides Endo to the end of line 5, and then goes to the place where all of the kids are facing.

"Ok class you know the drill, you don't get 10 attempt for each tool, but dont and I repeat don't walk to pick them up before everyone is your column is finished. Do you understand?"

"Yes Iruka sensei"

Iruka then gets out the way, and blows the whistle and the kids start throw the ninja tools attempting to hit the log. Most of the kids missed everyone, leaving only 2 of the them who only made a total combination of 3. The kids go and the fluctuations of 3-5 are seemingly the highest until the Sasuke, the future shadow hokage goes and hits all of the them dead center, one of the kunai even managed to hit the other kunai that seemingly going to miss and had them both his dead center. After that the numbers of total his go down once more until the last group of people are called up. Endo in this group, goes and throws 10 Shuriken and Kunai each. Hitting 8 Kunai, and only 4 Shuriken. Other seeing this was amazed that the new kid only rivaled Sasuke, the prince of their class, but Endo seeing his poor accuracy decided to train his ShurikenJutsu after class. The other kids did well within average, and they moved on this the agility test where only this time Naruto, Kiba, Sasuke, and Endo shined. Kiba and Naruto of similar pace until the last part and Kiba dusted Naruto. While Endo was relatively faster than Sasuke for the whole thing. Endo, didn't really care about this part as he knew the agility test was to see how active they were in the training. They moved on to the last part, Sasuke still destroyed Naruto with Sheer Taijutsu, and Sakura and Ino slapped their way up the leader board. It was finally Endo and SHikamaru turn before

"I quit' the Nara kid exclaimed. Iruka just sighed before giving up as he knew Shikamaru would never try to win anyways. He would just have to wait until he met the boy's father and mother to tell them of the situation. Endo was then paired with the still fresh Sasuke, and was lined up to face him. Endo viewed the eyes of anticipation, Naruto especially as he hoped that Endo would revenge him. Iruka made the boy doing the seal of conciliation, and them said

"Hajime"

A voice message is voiced in Endo's ear

Endo and Sasuke both waited while looking for any weaknesses. When Sasuke saw that Endo was going to wait until he threw the first punch, dashed to the kid and threw a left elbow. Endo then blocked it, while also blocking the next right hook and a left chop to the mid region. Sasuke, seeing Endo parrying, jumped up and spun to kick Endo.

Endo Seeing this, grabbed his leg, and pulled it down. Sasuke wanting this to happen bent his knee of the pulled leg before using the motion of his other leg to kick Endo harder. Endo realized this and backflipped away, he then rush Sasuke and tried to punch him straight in the gut. Sasuke almost dodged but still got hit in the shoulder. As a response the Uchiha, leg sweeped Endo which went successfully, and ended the fight.

Endo, not wanting to continue. Pushed the boy's threatening hand away and saying "I quit" to the amusement of Shikamaru, who actually watched the fight with interest. The rest of the class, even Iruka was surprised of the fact that Endo held his own, and they were sure the only reason Endo lost was because of the age gap between them. Little did they know though Endo actually held back and didn't use his full speed or strength. He was sure Sasuke's shoulder would've been heavily bruised and since he didn't want to be #1 and get the girls attention on him, to just settle. Endo then went to Sasuke and said "Good fight" to only get the response of a grunt. They did the seal of reconciliation, and returned to their respective spots.

Iruka was now unsure of what to do. He knew that with Endo's skill he should be number 2 or 3, but since he lost he could only put him ahead of Shikamaru. After finishing the last 4 fights left, Iruka called everyone's attention to him

"Good job, we'll go to lunch, and then I'll dismiss everyone, if you don't have lunch you can leave. Everyone, I'll dismiss you guys everyday after the placement test, If anyone wants recommendations on how to improve meet me in the classroom. Goodbye" Iruka then takes a few minutes jotting down something, and then closes the book and walks back to the Academy doors, and out of sight.

Naruto runs to Endo.

"I guess we both lost to that Baka. We'll get him next time, right Endo?" Naruto says while scratching his head, and when Sasuke looks at the boy calling him dumb, smirks and looks away. Naruto seeing this stupidly glares at Sasuke, before asking if Endo wanted to go to the park, and play. Endo agreed and after speaking to a compliment Kiba, a troubled Shikamaru, and a distracted Choji, they left to go to the park. This conversation would be the same for the next week, with Endo always agreeing before someone interrupted the routine. THe orphan kids that previously ignore Naruto, were upset that he managed to make such a talented and cool friend, which Endo was labelled and decided they needed to separate the demon from him.
