One by one, the students had begun to board their respective hover busses and then came the staff, with the class teacher boarding the bus of their own class.
Technically this was supposed to be a simple field trip, free of any risk or harms since the school made sure to avoid every dangerous place during their itinerary.
Alas, due to past cases of nature's wrath and countless casualties, school only took the students to the field trip after a written consent form.
'The parents must be against this!' Is a question you might ask, because why wouldn't they be?
But after completing and exploring the borders during this field trip, all students will receive some certificates which are very beneficial for their future CV's.
Thus despite the risk, almost 70% of the class was present for the field trip.

As in class, nobody bothered to try and chat with Jeremy, no matter how smart he proved himself to be or how much weight he shed.
It felt as if his hardwork bore no fruits and everything was meaningless.
'So what? I didn't do it for them.' Jeremy thought with a scoff as he looked out of the window, 'I needed stamina to walk for few miles without dying and I proved myself smart so teachers doesn't favorize other students against me.'
'I am used to be alone.' Jeremy thought as a sad glint passed through his eyes.
Travelling from world to world for multiple years, living the lives no one ever imagined. Jeremy lost every single person he used to hold dear, and in the end for what? To die and go to another place…
*Beep Beep*
// Attention all students, the hoverbus will be taking flight. Kindly attach your seatbelts and stay seated. //
Jeremy clicked his seatbelt in place and leaned into the soft cushioned seat, looking at an average guy who was sitting beside him.
The dude had been here for past 10 minutes but neither Jeremy nor him tried to make a small talk.
Jeremy knew it was futile to talk when in reality that dude feels disgust by sitting next to him, and as for him, he doesn't want to become a laughing stock of the class by talking to the infamous Luke.
Thus believe it or not, the bus ride went surprisingly peacefully.
Class teacher sat on the first seat and watched over the students while chatting on her phone, the nerd gang on the front was either reading their books or sleeping, the middle gang was mostly sleeping or also using their phones, and in the back the children could be seen playing many games and having fun.
But being a part of middle gang and not even having his mobile phone due to the stupid phone lock, Jeremy was utterly bored.
He kept glancing at the backseats where the youngsters played truth and dare, and every time the bottle landed on dare, a weird dare was given and the entire back row used to erupt in manic hoots.
Once again the bottle was spun and it landed on Lisa. She glanced around her and saw Jeremy peeking from his seat, she scowled at him and turned away in anger.
"Truth."
Jeremy wasn't able to hear her, but by reading the movement of her lips, he could guess she chose truth.
"Tell the class about your crush, Lisa." A guy in the back asked with a smirk while giving Ronald a side-eye, everyone knew how much Ronald liked Lisa, but she never paid him any heed.
"Isn't telling the whole class about it considered a dare instead of truth?" Lisa narrowed her eyes, "I will tell only you guys."
"Oh don't worry dear Lisa," the guy smirked, "Rosie here will tell everyone anyway."
"…" Lisa stared at him blankly.
Was this dude seriously asking her to reveal her crush and then also taunting her that soon the entire school is going to find out who it is?
But oh well, Lisa was prepared to lie anyway. There was no way she could tell him that she is feeling weird things for the worst student in the class, Luke Orsics.
At the start of the semester, that guy did attract some gold diggers who wanted his cash, but then they found out he is barely recognised as an heir to Orsics, so even the gold diggers left him.
It was better to hit on Luke's brother, Michael instead. He was infamous for being Orsics real heir, despite being one year younger, and he was also much better looking than Luke.
"Well my crush is Ryan Reynolds, you never said my crush needed to be from our school." Lisa's mouth curled into a grin, "Go and spread this around the school, Rosie~"
"Tsk, bitch." Rosie spat and turned away.
"For real." Another guy sighed dramatically and turned to the dude responsible for spinning the bottle, "You continue bro."
"Yeah yeah," the dude said and spun the bottle again.
'Hahahaha, can't believe they didn't even try to fight her about the real answer. This world is a fucking pussy!' Jeremy laughed heartily in his mind, if it was any other world there would have been a nice fight regarding Lisa's lame answer.
But not here. They just cursed themselves for leaving a loophole and gave up!
"Hey, what are you looking at fatty?" Ronald found Jeremy peeking at the back rows and from his gaze, that bastard was looking at Lisa.
So, being the protective big guy he is, he instantly confronted Jeremy.
"I was just watching the game, it seemed fun." Jeremy faked a polite smile and to piss Ronald off even more, he turned to Lisa and said, "I like Ryan too."
"Did I ask?" Lisa scoffed coldly looking at Jeremy, while her inner mind blushed at the thought. She herself didn't know how she managed to act in such a two faced behaviour.
But as she say, 'It is what it is.'
"Look in the front and sit down on your seat, lil bro." Ronald scoffed and turned back to his mates for continuing the game, but a siren disturbed him.
"Pack your bags and get ready to depart, students. We have reached the hover station for the Northern Border!"
The class teacher turned around and raised her head from her phone.
"Get ready."
